Engineering Supervisor - Technical Project Liaison (Hard FM)Location: Kingston-upon-Thames, LondonSalary: £50,000 - £55,000 & range of excellent employee benefitsOnsite – Monday-FridaySodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our established team with our prestigious client on an iconic account at their new Campus in London.
This role is to support the development of the new Campus site development set to open 2025 and is currently at the base build stage.
Joining our team at their site in Kingston-upon-Thames, you will support the engineering project delivery within a contract that meet statutory legislation, budget & time constraints whilst following industry good practice to ensure asset management delivery through subcontractors or self-performed to collate, absorb & become the future integral member of the Kingston Campus Team.
The Engineering Supervisor will have strong stakeholder engagement experience, being able to Influence change without authority to build professional relationships by delivering effective communication and contributing to management & team meetings whilst developing effective relationships with both internal & external clients and suppliers.
You will complete risk assessments and multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks for building services, absorb base build maintainable assets as buildings become under FM demise & ensure legislative compliance is maintained whilst working safely at all times, commissioning and witnessing testing & handover meeting attendance as the FM representative whilst ensuring competence and our “SME” on any system handover with highlighting any possible gaps faced.
Responding to emergency call out’s and attending site to provide engineering expertise ‘out of hours’ by managing a variety of reactive tasks and planned activities to meet service level agreement deadlines so flexibility will be required.
About You Experience and knowledge requirement for this role: - Experience within a facility and/or construction environment
- Need to have proven experience in both mechanical and electrical sectors especially with new builds
- Demonstrate analytical approach to problem solving
- Provide accurate records of time taken for tasks, materials used and any other information required to ensure efficient service delivery
- Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and trade/industry regulations in accordance with statutory and contractual requirements
- Good level of technical knowledge in Technical Services
- Effective organisation, co-ordination and planning
- Good IT skills using Microsoft Office applications
- Good written and verbal communication
- Financial and Asset Management
- Keeping supervisors informed of activity progress and highlight any problems
- Maintain tools, equipment, PPE in a good working condition
- Must be ambitious & resilient with drive and a pro-active approach
Qualifications required:
- Engineering or project management competence with NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications
- Qualified in Building Services engineering to NVQ 3 or above
- Multi skilled (Mechanical and Electrical) to NVQ Level 3
- Complete training and competency assessments
