The Pavement Engineer will work in a multi-disciplinary role within the Pavement team which will include assisting with the development and delivery of a wide range of pavement renewal schemes, to ensure that the strategic road network (SRN) safely meets the requirements of our customers now and into the future. The Pavement Engineer will work closely with key stakeholders including project teams and third parties and assist with coordinating works across the region, providing technical support and ensuring adherence to our defined asset class strategies, policies and standards.

About you:

Experience within an engineering or mechanical setting is an advantage although not essential as full in house training will be offered to the right person.

A willingness to learn & punctuality is essential
A full UK driving licence is required
You must be willing to travel to customer sites in the UK on occasion (expenses will be paid)
A counterbalance forklift licence an advantage although not essential as my client can offer training
Be happy to work a 40 hour week and work overtime as and when required.
Live within a 15 mile radius of Bedford

They deliver M&E building services maintenance to the corporate, healthcare, education, retail, transport and manufacturing sectors throughout the entire UK.



Mobile Building Services Role



Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm / 40 hour weeks



You will be working on a mobile basis carrying out Maintenance & Breakdown works to M&E Kit across their portfolio of clients across Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Northampton & Peterborough.



Electrical:

- Emergency light test, Fire alarm Testing
- Lighting, Ballasts, UPS, BMS
- 1st and 2nd fix on lighting



Mechanical:

- Service and repair of mechanical equipment (AHU’S, FCUs, Basic Plumbing, Water temp checks, heating systems)
- Pumps & Motors





Salary & Package

- Up to £40k
- Travel after 30 mins each way

General Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements, ensuring adequate coverage and thorough testing strategies.
Perform rigorous testing of software and systems, including functional, performance, and integration testing.
Identify and document defects and issues, collaborating closely with development teams to facilitate their resolution.
Implement test automation frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and repeatability.
Conduct regression testing to ensure that software updates and changes do not introduce new issues.
Uphold high-quality standards by performing continuous verification and validations of systems.
Maintain detailed records of test plans, test cases, test results, and issue tracking, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific testing requirements and provide updates on testing progress.
Identify areas for process enhancement in the testing lifecycle, contributing to the optimization of project quality.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and scripting languages.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Previous experience in quality assurance or a related field is advantageous.
Knowledge of industry requirements and standards is a plus.
