The Estates department at Furness General Hospital is a group of highly skilled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineers, creative building craftpersons, and dedicated support staff.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Manager - Mechanical to join us.

You should be experienced, time served, and suitably qualified in mechanical engineering maintenance, fault finding, and repairs. Ideally you will have trained to NVQ Level 4/HNC level or above.

As a HAMR Lifetime & Reliability Engineer you will perform a new & exciting function for developing next generational hard disk drive (HDD) Technology, namely Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR), through tribological testing and physical characterization.
