Role Overview:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for schematic design and PCB layout design for new products, including power management, signal processing, and connectivity features. You will also ensure that all designs comply with stringent safety and EMC standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Designing and developing electrical circuits and PCB layouts design for a range of Yamaha audio products.
• Collaborating with a dynamic team of electrical engineers to translate product requirements into functional designs.
• Participating in the entire product development lifecycle, including circuit design, PCB layout, prototyping, PCB assembly, and evaluation and verification.

Your role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on urban resilience in Greater Manchester, a city-region that is recognised by the United Nations as a global leader in resilience. As a Civil Contingencies Officer, the post holder will be a key member of the Greater Manchester Resilience Unit, supporting the emergency planning, response, and resilience service to the ten Councils in Greater Manchester. Operating as part of the Greater Manchester Resilience Unit, a shared service established by Greater Manchester’s Councils to deliver expertise in civil contingencies, the role holder will have responsibility to support specific resilience workstreams and projects, including ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the required standard. They will also be responsible for the design and delivery of training programmes for Councils and partners organisations across GM.

This work is delivered in a wider multi-agency environment with civil contingencies activity across Greater Manchester coordinated through the Greater Manchester Resilience Forum, a statutory partnership that brings together over 80 organisations involved in planning for, responding to and recovering from emergencies.

The post holder will join the team at a pivotal and challenging time as Greater Manchester’s Councils implement their resilience ambitions set out in the recent Trailblazer Devolution Deal agreed with Government, the Greater Manchester Resilience Strategy, and the UK Government’s Resilience Framework.

About you:

The post holder will have excellent communication and relationship management skills with the capacity to work with senior managers, operational staff and different stakeholders. They will have the drive, enthusiasm, and experience to support the shaping and delivery of services to meet the resilience needs of the GM Councils. The post holder will also enjoy working under pressure, sometimes with conflicting priorities, and working in fast-paced crises. Experience in civil contingencies whilst an advantage is not essential.

You will

• Support the effective development and delivery of emergency preparedness and response arrangements in Greater Manchester’s Councils.
• Work with Business Partners, team members and GM Councils to provide a focused, civil contingencies service that ensures business and civil contingencies agendas are delivered.
• Be part of an on-call 365/24/7 rota, providing a prompt response to emergencies within Greater Manchester and providing expert advice to Councils.
• Develop and deliver specific programmes of work themed around particular risks, response capabilities and resilience issues.
• Participate in multi-agency work to build on and strengthen emergency preparedness, response and recovery arrangements tasked out and coordinated through the Greater Manchester Resilience Forum.

The Parking Services Team is situated within the Highways & Transport Services within the Corporate Services Directorate.
Reporting to the Civil Enforcement Supervisors you will be responsible for patrolling the Thurrock area ensuring that vehicles are complying with the appropriate Traffic Regulation Orders.
You will enforce parking by identifying vehicles parked in contravention and serving Penalty Charge Notices in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Council. The role requires officers to carry out on street foot patrols borough wide. Working outside in varying weather conditions and walking up to 15 miles per day.
This role also monitors the conditions of signs and lines related to parking restrictions and reporting defects.
The role will be rotated on a two shift basis, week 1 Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm Friday 8am to 4pm, week 2, Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 4pm.
Previous civil parking enforcement experience is essential. Minimum 6 months.
A Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check at basic level will be required for this role.
Previous experience in a regulated parking profession is essential.
A Clean Full UK Driving Licence is preferred for this role.

Civil Enforcement Officer

Location: Thanet Area

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Salary: £14.87 per hour

Hours: 37hrs per week on 3-week rota, between 6.30am - 10.00pm

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Civil Enforcement Officers to join the team at the local Council. The Civil Enforcement team helps the District Council meet the demands of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will perform a unique and innovative role, conducting street patrols within designated areas of the district.

Responsibilities:-

- Enforce parking restrictions across the district in line with the Traffic Management Act 2004 & Traffic Regulation Orders for Thanet
- Issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles which are parked illegally
- Ensure sufficient evidence is collected when issuing Penalty Charge Notices
- Carry out daily maintenance checks of pay & display machines & reporting any issues
- Carry out weekly car park inspections
- Identify and report any damaged road and car park signs, faded lines that need replacing or missing.
- Assist the public with any council-related enquires to provide a high level of customer service
- Liaise with other enforcement teams, CCTV, and the police to provide intelligence
- Investigate abandoned vehicles from initial report to removal of vehicles
- Joint operations with CCTV & Streetscene Enforcement

Requirements:-

- Basic knowledge of the Highway Code & Road Traffic Regulations of Act 1991, Traffic Management Act & relevant legislation.
