Organisational Learning Coordinator
Are you experienced in coordinating an Observation and Incident reporting database along with a Corrective Action Programme to ensure that action is taken to prevent recurrence? Do you have experience in leading on, or assisting with Accident and Incident Investigations to ensure that the organisation identifies the root causes and acts on them in an effective manner? Are you proficient in analysing data and extracting meaningful insights to enhance conventional safety, environmental compliance or nuclear safety? Are you skilled in developing and delivering targeted training sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer and competency development across teams?

The Opportunity
In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing the project’s incident and observation reporting software system, ensuring seamless coordination with the supply chain and offering essential support to teams conducting Accident/Incident Investigations.
The Learning and Improvement (L&I) function at HPC is pivotal in gathering and assessing lessons learned, thereby supporting compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Condition 7 (LC7). By facilitating the identification, recording, reporting, tracking, investigation, and notification of events on site, you uphold EDF Energy’s Zero Harm principles through effective administrative controls.

What you will be doing…
In this role, you will oversee critical Learning & Improvement process activities, from identifying and investigating incidents to conducting quality reviews and disseminating Learning from Experience (OpEx) to both internal and external stakeholders. You will provide expert guidance to site management, ensuring compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Condition 7 for event reporting and facilitating necessary investigations. Additionally, utilising advanced reporting tools, you will analyse event data, generate trend reports, and propose actionable recommendations to enhance site management strategies. Other daily responsibilities also include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Organisational Learning initiatives throughout the project, offering essential guidance and expertise.
- Coordinate and facilitate lessons learned activities, ensuring insights from project experiences are systematically captured and applied to enhance HPC's operations. This involves conducting workshops, compiling detailed reports, and maximising project gains for future operators and new build projects.
- Manage the administrative duties of HPC Screening Meetings, meticulously preparing for sessions and overseeing outputs to ensure seamless processing.
- Facilitate seamless communication and connectivity for L&I activities across internal departments and external stakeholders, utilising various communication channels effectively.
- Perform data extraction, analysis, and interpretation to derive actionable insights, supporting informed decision-making.

Your ability to craft compelling presentations and interpret KPIs will drive informed decision-making. Your enthusiasm and confidence will ensure you engage effectively with stakeholders. Other requirements for this role include:
- Experienced in successfully managing Licence Condition 7 at another nuclear site, demonstrating a robust background in health and safety management.
- Possesses a sharp awareness of the critical nature of information reviewed and a strong IT acumen, adept at driving results through KPIs..
- Holds valuable certifications including a NEBOSH Award or higher, showcasing a commitment to safety excellence.
- Equipped with specialised training in Accident/Incident Investigation, prepared to handle complex scenarios with confidence.
- Has a good awareness of the role played by External Regulators such as HSE, ONR, EA, ensuring compliance through effective coordination of key information.
