Responsibilities:
· Conduct research and analysis on the shipping market, including supply, demand, freight rates, and fleet developments.
· Monitor industry news, market trends, and regulatory changes affecting the shipping sector.
· Assist in gathering and organizing data related to vessel movements, vessel characteristics, and market performance.
· Prepare reports, presentations, and briefs summarizing research findings and insights.
· Collaborate with team members to contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives within the research department.
· Support the development and maintenance of internal databases and analytical tools.
· Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
· Assist in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
· Currently enrolled in a Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant field such as Maritime Studies, Economics, Business, Shipping or a related discipline.
· Strong interest in the maritime industry
· Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data effectively.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
· Previous internship or work experience in research, maritime, or related fields is a plus but not required.
