As a customer advisor, you're expected to give great service and product knowledge to every customer. They understand a wide range of customers' needs and know how to offer the right information. You represent our brand, keep our stock moving and ultimately create the best customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
-Practice actively approaching and engaging with customers, demonstrating great conversations, and helping them find what they need.
-Shadow colleagues to understand best practices in customer service and teamwork.
-Learn customer communication types, challenges, and the escalation process.
-Understand the importance of customer feedback and how to use it to improve service and processes.
-Maximize sales by using available tools and systems, ensuring customers have everything for their projects.
-Learn department processes, product availability, and legal compliance to better serve customers and support the store.
What you'll need to succeed:
- A passion for learning and wanting to develop new skills and put into practice what you are learning.
-Be hardworking, looking for variety and a fast-paced working environment, with an opportunity to learn in all areas of the shop floor.
- Be committed to your apprenticeship, completing it, and achieving your qualification.
What your apprenticeship includes:
-A mixture of face to face and virtual catch ups with your learning coach every 4 - 6 weeks
- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
- Feedback sessions to discuss progress
- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don't already have GCSE)
At B&Q, you will be working towards the Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship over the course of 18 months.
