The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Quality team at Sparsholt College Group as the area’s Learning and Quality Coordinator. You will be a vital team member and will be joining a dynamic and evolving department that is supporting the wider College on its journey to outstanding. The post holder will be responsible for a range of Learning and Quality-based processes including the administration management of the College’s Quality Assurance mechanisms to ensure learners receive an outstanding learning experience.

Based at the Sparsholt college campus, this role consists of 2 main elements: 1. For two days per week during term-time you will be instructing learners in practical agricultural and farm skills. All roles involve supporting students, either in a group setting or on a 1-1 basis, both in class and throughout the college day. As we are a land based college the classes you support will be varied from supporting in the college zoo, to working with the Chelsea award winning horticulture team. Much of the support is outside and practical.
For all the roles, you will need to have a good standard of education including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent and willingness to undertake further training is essential. Experience of working with young people, ideally in an educational or care setting. Is advantageous. £23,088 - £24,816 per annum (dependent upon qualifications and experience)
Possibility of a Recruitment Attraction Payment of up to £3,000 (pro-rated if part time)
Contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of the college grounds across both sites, the post holder will also work closely with teaching staff to provide practical support, technical instruction and supervision of students training in horticulture with a focus on machinery and plant maintenance and establishment. The successful candidate will be qualified in a relevant subject area with a good practical working knowledge of horticulture and a sound understanding of health and safety procedures.
The working pattern for this role is 7.30 am – 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30 am – 3.30 pm on Friday.
This post is based at the Sparsholt campus.
