Penybont Primary School is a large, successful primary school with 340 pupils serving the Central Bridgend community.
The Governing Body are looking appoint an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic Senior Learning Support Officer (SLSO) to manage a dynamic and successful Nursery unit of approximately 45 Nursery and Pre-Nursery pupils, teaching with colleagues in our Early Years Department.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of early years child development and a proven ability to plan, organise and evaluate highly effective learning opportunities across the Foundation Phase curriculum in both indoor and outdoor environments. They will know how to use a range of assessment techniques effectively as an integral part of this process.
They will need to demonstrate excellent classroom practice and a strong commitment to ensuring the highest standards from all practitioners within the Nursery team. The successful candidate will have the ability to form caring and trusting relationships with all children and their families.
