Opened in 2006, Northumberland Supported Living Service (Sea Lodge) is a CQC registered service, currently rated as Good, which provides nurse led support to two adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Service users have secured tenancy agreements and live in a large, adapted bungalow within its own grounds overlooking a private beach in Northumberland.
We are looking for 2 support workers to join our team at Sea Lodge. Duties will include engaging the service users in activities, personal care, household duties, administration of medication and supporting service users to access the community.
This is a full time (37 hours), permanent position. NCC Band 4 salary (22,369 - 24,054).
There is a requirement to work days (typically 12.5 hour shifts from 07.45 to 20.15) and night shifts (typically 12 hour shifts from 20.00 to 08.00) on a rotational basis.
The successful candidate should have experience in a care setting, desirably with people with a learning disability and behaviours of concern, and should be flexible to the needs of the service and service users.
NVQ level 2 in health and social care or equivalent is preferable and full details can be found in the attached job description.
