This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5-6 developmental Caseload Holder Childrens Bladder & Bowel Team.

We require an experienced, motivated, dynamic nurse to join our friendly team of Bladder & Bowel professionals. The Diagnostics Team support Integrated Care systems to deliver the diagnostics transformation, specifically supporting network formation, review of clinical pathways and implementation of Community Diagnostic Hubs. The overall objective of the team is to improve outcomes and access to Diagnostics ensuring earlier diagnosis and connected patient records.

This role will provide programme and project management support to the Senior Diagnostic Transformation Managers as well as the wider NW Diagnostic Team, Senior Managers, Directors and stakeholders.

The Diagnostics Team support Integrated Care systems to deliver the diagnostics transformation, specifically supporting network formation, review of clinical pathways and implementation of Community Diagnostic Hubs. The overall objective of the team is to improve outcomes and access to Diagnostics ensuring earlier diagnosis and connected patient records. This role will provide programme and project management support to the Senior Diagnostic Transformation Managers as well as the wider NW Diagnostic Team, Senior Managers, Directors and stakeholders. Our services include Substance Misuse, reception screening, providing agreed care packages, undertaking appropriate physical health observations, clinics such as Phlebotomy, ECG, and health promotion. You will need a good level of communication skills, be a team player and provide high standards of care to patients under the supervision of a qualified nurse/practitioner. If you have NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience and a good level of care experience, then we could have the perfect job for you!

Receive and direct patients and visitors on arrival at the centre, providing reception services for patients, staff, public, internal and external customers and organisations ensuring sensitivity when dealing with distressing situations. Answering telephone calls using the switchboard system receive and process incoming and outgoing telephones calls, taking messages and responding appropriately to maintain effective communication channels. Sorting and distribution of mail to all departments. Manage and maintain stock levels and ordering supplies. Accurately record new and follow up attendances on the electronic appointment system, updating and revising information where necessary. Assisting with the collection of data and statistics to produce standardised computer generated reports and/or statistical information for managers as and when required. Maintain filing systems and other records as required ensuring they are up to date and accurate and implement changes to systems and procedures as directed. To participate in meetings as required. To ensure a professional approach to work maintaining confidentiality throughout. Generally monitor security within the building. Ensuring reception and waiting areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Report and record sickness, absences and any incidents or accidents in accordance with Trust Policy. Staff may be required to work from other bases within the organisation.
