We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate therapeutic Support Workers to play a core part in delivering skills underpinned by brief psychological interventions within the new Psychological Skills Service (PSS) Cambridge.

The Psychological Skills Service was developed as part of the Exemplar project in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS trust (CPFT). CPFT were chosen by NHS England as one of the national exemplar pilot sites for the redesign and transformation of primary and community mental health care. The goal of this transformation project was to develop and deliver a new service paradigm that seeks to provide a more seamless pathway of mental health care and eliminate current gaps between services.

PSS was developed to try and address gaps in service provision, and we currently provide interventions for those clients who would have fallen into the gaps between primary and secondary care. The PSS is a Trauma informed service, acknowledging that, the majority of clients referred to the service have experienced some form of trauma in their lives.

You will be part of a team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists; Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs); and Assistant Psychologists. We also have Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Mental Health Nurse expertise forming our team management.

As a therapeutic support worker you will fill an important position offering psychologically informed support and psychological skills to a group of people previously described as “not ready” for psychological therapy.

On a day to day basis the role will involve the following tasks:
• Building relationships with the client with a view to promote a sense of safety via modelling of attention to safety.
• Delivering and teaching psychological skills. In particular ones designed to support people with the stabilisation phase of recovering from complex trauma. Including; • Anxiety Management

The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Care Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.

You will also be required participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for care and Radis’ housing related support duties when emergency cover is required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will ideally, but not essential, have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal commination skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations.

This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check. A driving licence with access to a vehicle will also be advantageous as some travel may be required for the role.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Maintenance Complaints Officer to undertake the investigation of complaints, disrepair claims and ombudsman cases in line with Housing Services and the Council's Complaints and Compliments procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating, responding to and resolving where possible, to build tenant and leaseholder confidence in the service.

Job Role -

• Prepare investigation reports and responses, analysing complaints and cases, contacting tenants and leaseholders, liaising with Housing and Estates & Facilities staff, seeking good practice and recommending necessary actions to resolve complaints.
• Ensure that agreed actions to resolve complaints, disrepair and ombudsman cases are completed within timescales, recording the necessary information accurately and consistently.
• Liaise with the Housing and Local Government Ombudsmen as appropriate.
• Work within the Housing Maintenance and Improvement team, supporting colleagues with the activities provisioned by the team in supporting the Responsive Repairs and Voids team - to include (but not limited to) administration of generic customer facing inboxes, processing invoices, managing diaries, producing reports etc.
• Foster and maintain close working relationships with the Responsive Repairs and Voids Supervisors, Works Planners and Surveyors to facilitate the timely provision of the information required in response to complaints, disrepair and ombudsman cases.
• Prepare reports, information and statistics, as required and directed.
• Maintain a positive, helpful, respectful approach to all aspects of the role including dealing with colleagues, responding to incidents and general communications.

Candidate Requirements -

• Proven experience as a Housing Maintenance Complaints Officer or similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good knowledge of Housing Services and the Complaints and Compliments procedures.
• Ability to analyse complaints and cases, and recommend necessary actions to resolve complaints.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
