The local authority is committed to drawing on the growing evidence base to developing innovative services which work effectively with families who suffer from multiple symptoms of social exclusion and subsequently depend significantly on a wide range of public services.
Within this context, an exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of co-located multi-agency child and family services. We are seeking a Senior Family Support Worker to join our family intervention service who has a ‘can do’ approach and is committed to the delivery of a crucial service in supporting families to effect change within their own lives. The successful candidate will possess the drive to improve standards within the service and support to staff to deliver sustainable outcomes for families facing multiple and complex difficulties.
The role involves developing the service, as well as supervising and supporting a team of family support workers who work with families in their own homes and communities. You will supervise family support workers and support them to develop responsive, tailored packages of support in line with assessed and identified need and agreeing with family members realistic and sustainable goals for change. As a senior member of a multi-agency team, you will focus on a service that supports families to build resilience to improve long term outcomes for children, young people and their families.
