Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Chartered Accountancy for an Audit Manager to join the team on a Permanent basis. The role itself oversees audit engagements for various clients, ensuring timely and effective resource allocation. You will deliver essential information to clients and address their inquiries promptly. Furthermore, you will collaborate with external file reviewers and communicate with the ICAEW when needed.

Main responsibilities

• Client Portfolio Management: Oversee an audit-focused portfolio, including clients in various sectors, notably the charity sector.
• Plan and control both statutory and voluntary audits, ensuring timely completion with minimal supervision.
• Act as the main contact for client issues, advising on tax liabilities, and keeping clients updated on progress.
• Ensure financial statements comply with external and internal requirements, including the Companies Act and Accounting Standards.
• Resolve technical queries through research and consultation and develop audit-related reports for management.
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations, ensuring timely advice on tax liabilities for clients.
• Develop references and reports based on audits, including identifying deficiencies in internal control and accounting systems

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or at least 3 years of senior/manager-level auditing experience.
• Understanding of UK taxes, particularly Corporation Tax and Income Tax, as they apply to audit clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop strong client relationships and build rapport at various levels.
• Strong organisational skills to manage workload efficiently, consistently exceeding client expectations.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and desirable knowledge of accounts production software (e.g., CCH, IRIS).

This gentleman had a career in the RAF and he lives at home with his wife who cares for him alongside professionals.

To care for this individual, we are looking for gentle team members who can communicate well - to be able to explain and reassure him - and help him to feel safe in your presence. Our role is to provide assistance with personal care and to keep him comfortable during the night, enabling him to have a restful night's sleep. This individual is unable to assist with any transfers and therefore a hoist is used for transfers and personal care. All training will be provided as required but experience is necessary to meet his needs.

About the role:

The Safeguarding Manager post holder will be responsible for leading the Safeguarding Team across the Service, creating, implementing, improving and maintaining high standards and giving guidance to ensure the Service is statutorily and legally compliant.

With Line Management guidance you will work to deliver objectives, considering NFCC, HMICFRS and Fire Standards boards and the CRMP (Community Risk Management Plan).

You will need to act impartially and autonomously on behalf of the Executive Board and Executive Leadership Team when referring safeguarding concerns. This includes referrals related to staff welfare and conduct to statutory agencies including Social Care, the Local Authority Designated Officer, and the Police.

You will need to provide subject matter expertise to the Service for safeguarding and work with the Service to embed safeguarding practices, into their policies and processes.

Through the successful management of the safeguarding and advocate teams you will be creating and delivering improvement projects and Service management of high-risk individuals and intervention programmes.

Key responsibilities of the Safeguarding Manager role:

To provide subject matter expertise, support and advice to the leadership and wider organisation, in relation to safeguarding, including adults, children and vulnerable people.
To manage the performance of direct reports including allocating, instructing, directing and organising work, monitoring the quality and output of work, arranging training and development, carrying out appraisals (PPDs) and other performance, dealing with sickness, leave and other absence.

Are you passionate about nature and managing countryside sites in the heart of Exeter? Are you excited about engaging people to become actively involved in managing Exeter City’s Valley Parks?
We are looking for a motivated and skilled person who can manage the complex challenges of nine nature reserves, ensuring sites are managed to the highest standard for both people and wildlife.
You will lead on developing local community groups/support for all the key sites, developing a sense of ownership and pride in the Valley Parks. You will also assist in developing a long-term vision for the Valley Parks; there is a great opportunity to take stock and re-envisage current management for key sites.
The successful candidate will need broad ranging experience in habitat management and restoration, access provision and a detailed approach to ensuring public safety across all sites.
The role is based at Cricklepit Mill but will also require working closely with reserve staff based at Woodah Farm.
This is full-time, permanent post based at Cricklepit Mill.
