Every item sold in our shops generates funding so we can continue to provide 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement and emotional support every year, in our hospices, in people's homes and in the community. As a member of the retail team, you’ll be helping us inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. You will also be contributing to drive up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running.

We understand our people are our most important asset and work hard to make sure you feel valued and included as part of a team. In retail most work every weekend, our managers mainly work only 1 in 2. We don't expect our teams to work past 5.15 in most of our shops. The earliest we start is 8.45am. We have every Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off.

Our shop sells quality ladies wear, menswear, bric-a-brac, accessories and kid's clothing and toys. We also sell vinyl and books - pop in to find yourself a gem.

About you
Are you an experienced proactive shop manager? Do you have the retail skills to manage our charity store? If so, come and join the team at our Matlock shop and contribute to the work we do across Sue Ryder!

To be successful in this role you’ll have the commercial awareness to deliver sales and meet deadlines combined with ability to plan and prioritise. You will have proven team leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team of volunteers. It is essential is that you enjoy engaging with people, you have a positive can-do attitude and a good understanding of financial and IT administration.

Other responsibilities include:

• As Shop Manager you will be using your skills and retail experience to drive business, push sales and achieve targets.
• Lead your team to deliver great customer service to our donors and customers.
• Work with the local community to generate sufficient donated stock to drive sales.
• Recruit, train & retain a volunteer team, who'll look to you for leadership and guidance.
• Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring you and your teams health and safety is a priority.
• Manage effective stock processes to ensure your shop is well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock at all times.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in store campaigns to promote the brand and national fundraising initiatives.
• Manage effective stock processes through the Epos operation.

An exciting opportunity for a band 6 Nurse Team leader Nurse to join our transforming Community Prevention and Engagement Team (CPET) for a highly skilled practitioner to work across Fylde and Wyre working with an array of mental health services and key stakeholders this team holds the importance of social inclusion at its heart. Working from ideology that people achieve a more sustained recovery when community connection is apparent this is a team that comprises of skilled and specialised support staff working across all mental health pathways to assertively engage and support individuals in working towards therapeutic recovery.







LSCFT Specialist Mental Health Rehabilitation is currently undergoing transformation across inpatient and community services in order to implement a robust pathway for people with complex mental health needs in the least restrictive and safest way, there is a need to develop the range of service provision that will enable this.

The aim of the transformation is to provide a service which can offer a whole pathway of support locally, identified in both national plans and clinical guidance, which would include an inpatient and community service offer that is matched against the identified need of LSCFT population. In order to achieve our aims LSCFT MH Rehab needs to standardise the approach to the provision of these services; to identify and reduce inequalities and improve quality, ensure services are safe, effective, evidence based and informed.

The MH Transformation programme of work ensures we are working towards an end to end service pathway that will support people with the most complex mental health needs at the right time and in the right place.









Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Recruitment Co are looking for a Field Service Engineer to diagnose faults, repair and test equipment for a leading plant hire company due to expanding their team.
What to Expect in this role:

• Receiving electronic (written and verbal) instructions in the form of a handheld PDA, in the event of breakdown
• Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and ensure safe working practices are in place, whilst undertaking work.
• To diagnose faults and report to Supervisor/ Manager for instructions as to whether to proceed with repair
• Identify and then liaise with Supervisor/ Manager where extra work is found to be necessary
• Ensure that full authority is obtained before undertaking any extra work

What we need from you

• Ensure that safety standards are maintained
• To obtain the necessary parts from stores
• To effect repair and testing in a timely manner
• To accurately complete and sign off on all job cards (electronic or written), give a full description of the work carried out
• Maintain acceptable standards of discipline
• Advise supervisor when completion times cannot be met
• Where necessary, discuss vehicle concerns direct with customer
