Autism Unit - Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Contract: Fixed Term
Salary Details: Grade 5. This attracts a salary range of £23,118 to £23,505 per annum, awarded on a pro-rata basis. Your starting salary would be approximately £9,573.16 (Pay Point 7).
Hours of work: 18 hours per week, term-time only – Initially until 31 December 2024 – with the possibility of the contract being extend.
The successful candidate will:
Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who will bring a sense of energy and passion to the role
Have a good level of general education - English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or above is essential
Be able to use their initiative to work independently and flexibly
Be a person with good interpersonal skills who can form positive relationships with both pupils and adults, and work effectively as part of a team
Be someone who is able to show empathy and flexibility towards the children in their care

Do you have experience of working with young people aged 4– 11?
Are you an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant looking to join a warm and welcoming school?
You will have a talent for engaging children and will be required to work flexibly across all age groups and abilities. This role may include elements of personal care for students with additional needs.
You will encourage acceptance and inclusion of children with special needs and assist with their personal care. There will be opportunities to develop within the school and make a valued contribution to our children's learning.
We have fixed term role available, starting as soon as possible. You will be working 32.5 hours per week, term time only
