Qualification and KnowledgeDiploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;ResponsibilitiesResponsible for system monitoring and maintaining the general health of the IT System;
• Ensuring the systems are operating at optimal level without issues and manage the change requests, defects management as well as the business-as-usual activities;
• Involved in hands-on technical troubleshooting and support also coordinate projects when needed;
• Provide support in change management and document system handover to application support team;
• Suggest improvements by providing technical specifications for system / process enhancement;
• Involved in requirement analysis and responsible to support for enhancements, fixes and emergency application changes deployment;
• Ensure IT systems are operating with high efficiency;
• Develop implementation, integration, documentation according to agreed standards
• Support Disaster recovery exercises
• Weekend support or holiday support for release activities and connectivity testing or emergency issues and adhoc requests
• Gather and process relevant information at point of incident and perform quick assessment of the impact
• Responsible to communicate on incidents and provide regular update to the higher management, stakeholders and users until incident closure
• Work closely with Incident Manager to ensure preventive and detective measures of the applications are identified and implemented.Work or Professional ExperienceApplication support experience of 4-6 years, preferably from a banking or Financial InstitutionsFunctional or Technical CompetenciesAble to be hands-on and perform sql queries for data retrieval and analysis using relational databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, ability to suggest SQL queries performance tuning a bonus
Provide technical specifications for system/process enhancements;
Knowledge of operating systems including Unix, LINUX and Windows
Proficient in windows batch and Unix scripting
Knowledge of Middleware applications such as IIB or Websphere, MQ is a must
