Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm covering London and the South of the UK. As a Category Specialist, you’ll be responsible for sourcing a range of equipment, goods and services and managing a variety of vendors. That will involve performing strategic procurement activities across your defined portfolio of sub-categories of spend. It will also involve maintaining up-to-date market expertise in order to work closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute category plans that achieve our objectives, including best value, whilst managing procurement risk.
The successful candidate will need:

Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (or working towards this qualification) and, ideally, a degree level or equivalent education
Experience in the Property category area<s>s</s> and category management in general, including running tenders for a variety of good and services
Strong day-to-day project planning, delivery and management skills
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills and a flair for analysis and problem solving
Proven experience of managing a wide group of internal stakeholders with differing priorities
Ideally, a background in either a Commercial or Not for Profit Procurement function

What We Are Looking For:

Essential:

• Demonstrable use and understanding of standard forms of contract.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office packages including Excel, Project, and Word.
• Working understanding of valuation techniques for construction works, including elemental cost analysis of labor, materials, plant, sub-contract, and general expenses

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Project Managers to ensure projects meet commercial and financial targets
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with client and supplier counterparts.
• Contribute to regular, accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager on PHR, CVR, Cash Flow, and Weekly Updates
• Responsible for the project budget and regular commercial forecasts
• Conduct valuations for initial, interim, and final payment applications
• Manage sub-contractor and supplier accounts in line with agreed subcontracts and upstream contractual requirements
• Identify, notify, value, and agree on changes (variations, compensation events, claims)
• Work with the Commercial Manager to maximise the recovery of all contractual entitlements
• Ensure project adherence to contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice times and applications
• Maintain contemporary records for supporting claims, extensions of time, and the evaluation of variations
• Support tender processes as needed
• Promote and maintain professional working relationships
• Identify project risks and develop strategies to minimise commercial impact

Your new role
Your new job working as a Real Estate Account Executive means you will be working with a team of experienced insurance professionals leading client advocacy as main contacts for significant mid-large corporate accounts, with responsibility for day to day service delivery, delegation and for supporting the leadership of individual teams. You will be responsible for providing the day-to-day service delivery to a mixed portfolio of UK and or European property owner and real estate clients.

Your role will be to deliver an enhanced service and added value to clients, maintaining a robust approach to ensure all clients have a service plan and an annual timetable of visits aligned to their needs. Dealing with clients from inception to completion.

You will be responsible for managing renewal income and actively seek out and generate new revenue opportunities through regular new business activity and by attending networking events. Building and growing a wide network of client and market contacts and serve as a role model and mentor to associates in developing the same. Other duties will include attending insurer review meetings as well as preparing renewal reports and other technical documents. What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Real Estate / Property owners Account handler or as an Account Executive, handling Property Owners or Real Estate business will lead to your success. You will also have excellent communications skills and the ability to attend external client meetings when required.
