Your new job working as an Account Executive will be working for one of the UK's leading independent Lloyd's brokers. Located in the city and throughout the UK, these brokers make it a priority to understand every detail of a client's businesses and work in partnership to provide a complete service to their customers. The company offers unbiased access to the market and places cover with an established insurer network. They are a national business operating out of regional offices across the UK, acting internationally with global specialists. They offer innovative and intelligent risk advice and insurance programmed designed to confidently provide clients a service to protect their risks. Due to growth within one of their Real Estate and Construction team, a role has arisen for a Construction Account Executive
to work as part of an established team.
Your new role
Your new role working as an Account Executive means you will be responsible for managing major existing Construction clients effectively, proactively developing and attaining Company income and growth objectives for an assigned client portfolio. Dealing with you clients from inception to completion, handling all meeting renewals, cross-selling , and dealing with any new business. You will be responsible for dealing with clients with confidence showcasing exceptional product knowledge. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key insurers and underwriters, collaborating closely with other divisions, Account Executives, and Handlers to build enduring connections with existing and new clients. Offer advice on existing products and demonstrate extensive expertise in a wide range of Construction products and relevant contract terms.
Other duties will include having overall responsibility for your assigned client relationships and provide assistance as needed for other clients, including liaising with specialised PI and Surety teams. Collaborate with other areas to identify cross-selling and expanded services opportunities, aiming to maximise product sales across the existing client base. Support the Construction team in achieving cross-selling opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Account Executive handling UK Construction business will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will need be able to visit clients independently and handle accounts from inception to completion. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred. Also, you will have confident and effective telephone and PC skills including Microsoft Office, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with both clients and colleagues and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
