Presentation / Graphic Designer

We’re currently seeking a full-time Presentation/Graphic Designer with a strong formatting background who can bring a fresh perspective to our presentations and elevate our brand story. We are passionate about creating compelling, and meaningful presentations that will help our Sales team communicate effectively in the marketplace. Best-in-class presentation design is essential to support our marketing and sales efforts. This is a fast-paced, exciting new role focused crafting visuals for B2B, B2C, and executive communications. As an integral facet of our team, the ideal candidate should be collaborative, energetic, and adaptable as our team continues to evolve. They will be responsible for how our presentations look and feel — owning template design, data visualizations, and a repository of resources and tools used to enhance our communications. The ideal candidate would also have a basic understanding of video editing, motion graphics, animation, and know when employ those techniques for optimal marketing & sales messaging.

The Presentation/Graphic Designer will leverage their understanding of the Homes.com’s aesthetic, tone of voice, and analytics to create impeccable sales & marketing decks. Must be able to deliver strategically focused concepts, high-quality designs, charts, graphics, tables, and layouts for marketing communications that may be viewed on a variety of formats: print, desktop, mobile, and other digital displays. Could additionally contribute to the designs for events, video storyboarding, animation, data visualizations, and infographics. Expect to support all marketing channels: Lifecycle, Growth, and Product Marketing.

Together with a team of fellow designers, copywriters, campaign managers, and senior executives, you’ll execute digital and graphic design solutions that reflect our goals and vision.  If you “geek out” about not just presentation design but also - brand identity, logos, color theory, typography, motion, animation, design trends, and how to use them to connect with audiences in engaging ways, come join us.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers the following hybrid schedule options:

• 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Designing for a variety of channels including desktop, mobile, email, social, display advertising, video, web, mobile, PowerPoint.
• Designing digital elements and resources for all presentations, while maintaining a resource of tools and a library of training materials to upskill other team members.
• Working with Creative Director to deliver final designs from concept through execution.
• Managing design assets and contributing to brand templates.
• Producing designs to help the marketing team develop effective marketing messaging.
• Implementation and adherence to style standards on typography, illustration, photography, data visualization and graphic design.
• Collaborating with the marketing and product team to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored presentations for sales enablement.
• Understanding of business objectives and how to apply design principles to elevate brand communications.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to understand growth & performance metrics that maintain design standards.
• Develop and maintain a library of high-quality creative executions such as: infographics, stock imagery, templates, spec guidelines, demo videos, etc.
• Work with Creative Director and designers to develop new presentation options based on sales needs.
• Investigation and recommendation of new presentation techniques to keep the team informed of best practices and evolving solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
• Minimum of 3 years of ad agency, marketing department, or design studio experience
• Prior experience as a Graphic Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
• Expert level understanding of PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
• Knowledge of Project Management tools such as Asana, JIRA, or equivalent.
• Possess excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in design in programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Figma, etc.
• Requires basic knowledge of residential real estate industry
• Experience in print, web and presentation design
• Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative team environment
• Must be comfortable following design direction and implementing changes, while producing high quality designs and meeting tight deadlines

Job Summary:

Teledyne FLIR is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in the Surveillance Systems Division.  This position will work with a diversified team across multiple locations on high performance airborne gimballed systems.  The position will require technical leadership from conceptual design to testing and production implementation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for taking product designs from concept through prototyping into final production.

• Support product testing in the laboratory and on company owned airborne platforms for flight testing.

• Design electro-mechanical parts and assemblies with SolidWorks, including gyro stabilized gimballed sensors.

• Responsible for the mechanical specifications and planning related to electro-mechanical system design.

• Effectively communicate among cross discipline teams located in multiple sites.  

Job Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred, with 5+ years of experience with the design of airborne gimballed systems.

• Familiarity with duplex bearings, dynamic seals and lightweight, stiffness-driven structural design required.

• Experience designing with a solid modeling CAD program (SolidWorks a plus).

• Understanding of drafting standards including geo-tolerancing.

• Knowledge of stress and thermal analysis desired.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills a must.

• Demonstrated experience working within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced, technically challenging environment.

Position Summary:

With assistance from more senior engineers, design and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementation, based on customer feedback and sales requirements.

• Prepare architectural designs and construction documents for industrial facility interior and exterior renovations as a part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary A/E team
• Investigate and design building envelope systems including all components of roofs and walls
• Assist the owner or project manager in defining the facility requirements/program for projects in advanced technologies, life science, pharma, and food and beverage design
• Oversee the work of associate architects and designers
• Lead the architectural design and multi-disciplinary industrial and manufacturing project teams
• Define the industrial facility program requirements based on an understanding of the client’s production process flow and space environmental needs

What You’ll Bring

• A working knowledge of code studies/evaluations for advanced technology facilities or hazardous/classified areas (preferred)

• A minimum of five years of industrial/manufacturing architectural design experience with a proven ability to lead the facility design from the programming/concept phase through the production of construction documents, permit acquisition, and site implementation
• A minimum of two years of experience executing industrial projects in the advanced technologies and life science sectors (preferred)
• Food and beverage or heavy industrial/manufacturing project experience (preferred)
• A strong working knowledge of local, state, and national building codes
• Experience in the development and creation of construction documents for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or food and beverage industries (preferred)
• Experience in the design of greenfield facilities and in the renovation of existing buildings
• Experience in the design of ISO clean rooms, and labs and processing spaces (preferred)
• Experience in the design of cold storage and refrigerated processing environments
• Experience in coordinating design with process engineers on industrial installations of production equipment (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the execution of all activities for managed scope area, i.e., the West Support Building and Boiler Chiller Plant (BCP).
• Ensure all external contractor(s) and design resources (Services During Construction - SDC) are delivering their scope of work in accordance with their contractual agreement, escalating to Execution Director where appropriate / required by contract terms.
• Accountable for managing the project budget, commitment, actual cost, and forecast detail with support from the Cost Reporting Lead.
• Responsible for ensuring direction provided by the Client has been documented and communicated to the appropriate external contractor(s) and incorporated into the project documents including issue management/tracking and ensuring alignment amongst project stakeholders.
• Responsible for overseeing permit coordination and municipal approvals in partnership with external contractor(s).
• Responsible for change control activities including scope and pricing coordination/review of proposed changes from external contractor(s) and SDC resources.
• Manage the schedule with support from the Schedule Integration Lead by providing updates to activities for the Integrated Project Schedule, identifying acceleration opportunities, and developing recovery plans to mitigate delays as required.
• Coordinate approvals of POs and CBS / WA packages from Execution Director (and Program Leaders as required) through Project Bank Meetings with an enhanced focus on understanding yet-to-commits.
• Responsible for earned value management including performing site-walks to inspect work-in-place (WIP) and coordinating the approval process of invoices for all external contractor(s) and SDC resources on scope area.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop mitigation plans for potential risks associated with construction activities.
• Regularly report on the project's progress, financial status, and potential risks to the Execution Director
• Support the Project Controls Team with integrating project data into the Project Control Tower.

The Ideal Candidate will have the Following:

• Experience in the semiconductor or similarly technically complex industry.
• Experience with wide range of facility types across the entire project lifecycle (Entitlement, Planning, Design and Build).
• Strong executive presence with an ability to communicate with and influence senior leaders.
• Experience with project controls, contract development, administration, and claims management.
• Experience selecting, developing, and managing design and construction-related service providers.
• Familiar with industry standard construction technology solutions (i.e., cost management systems, BIM 360, SmartSheet, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procure, Plangrid, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, or a related field preferred.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. • Consult, develop and implement technical and related sales enablement plans with partners and internal/external customers to support revenue and margin goals

In this vital role you will be an integral member of the DTI team working on a newly formed Agile Product Team that will own Amgen's Structured Content Authoring and Generative AI solutions supporting the common technical document submission process and their integration with upstream and downstream data sources and systems. The position is located in our offices in Thousand Oaks, CA, or Tampa, FL, or we can also consider remote applicants in a United States. Role & Responsibilities:

• Provides design guidance that follows the enterprise architecture vision and adheres to applicable application technology guidelines; mitigates the impact of technical design on security, performance and data privacy

• Plans and develops architectural designs and application solutions

• Resolves technical issues and seeks application rationalization

• Identify and prototype tools and technology, in both an advisory, and in some cases, hands-on capacity

• Leads other engineers by example

• Integrates systems with commercial off-the-shelf applications and custom developed applications

• Migrates existing applications and develops new applications in major cloud platforms

• Communicates effectively with senior leadership

• Interprets and translates goals into technical specifications and drives technological change

• Demonstrates business and domain acumen to interpret and translate architecture plans into business plans

• Collaborates with other architects and developers to provide technical design guidance that aligns with strategy and technical standards

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems

Or

High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with Amgen City Planning platforms like Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, MuleSoft, Databricks, etc.

• Understands established software development lifecycles and methodologies including Agile, iterative and waterfall, using blended resources

• Learns rapidly and continuously takes advantage of new technologies, concepts and business models

• Stays current with emerging technology trends

• Experience with architectural design and application delivery

• Acquainted with Lean IT principles and data-driven approaches

• Familiar with architectural domains including cloud application architecture and container-based deployment

• Excellent analytical and problem solving, communication and presentation skills

• Good understanding of business complexity and project inter-dependencies

• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across disciplines

• Outstanding communication and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

Objectives:

• Provide leadership to IT and the business on information security and serve as domain expert and principal designer for information security topics across multiple areas of specialization, including cloud technologies.

• Lead a team of security and IT specialists and ensuring the best security practice implementations.

• Develop and drive implementation of the strategic security vision with IT Management for areas of responsibility.

• Analyze the current IT security environment to detect critical deficiencies and researches/evaluates alternative solutions while weighing costs, efficiencies, and industry standard methodologies to provide recommended solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cloud security strategy aligned with the organization's overall security objectives. Assess existing security measures and propose improvements to strengthen the security posture of the cloud environment.

• Collaborate with solution architects to craft secure and scalable cloud infrastructures that meet the organization's needs. Ensure that security requirements are coordinated into the cloud architecture from the beginning.

• Collaborate with relevant partners to ensure aligned implementations of corrective actions and broader security solutions are strategically and technologically aligned across multiple domains.

• Analyze the current Security IT environment to find opportunities or security solutions to the business within each area of responsibility.

• Advise on secure architecture/design (reference architectures), attack surface area reduction, the least privileged design, threat mitigations, and security standard methodologies.

• Advise developers and architects on security best practices in cloud applications.

• Lead the introduction of new security capabilities into the organization including technology selection, design, and pilot.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of the security infrastructure required to support the integration of security projects and technology into the existing environment.

• Ensure cloud environments adhere to relevant industry regulations, standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and internal security policies. Conduct periodic audits and assessments to validate compliance and identify areas for improvement.

• Evaluate the security capabilities of different cloud service providers and recommend the most suitable options based on the organization's requirements and risk appetite.

• Collaborate with the training department to develop cloud security training programs for employees. Raise awareness about cloud security best practices and common threats across the organization.

• Integrate security automation tools and processes to streamline security operations and improve response times to security incidents.

• Manage and resolves issues and escalates them appropriately.

Key Requirements/Minimum Requirements:
