Technical Architect needed in Lewisham, £614.86 per day PAYE - Reference: RQ1395752

• The Technical Architecture reports to the Director of IT & Digital and has accountability for leading the technology architecture function.
• The role requires a broad range organisational and technical skills to lead architecture functions including technical architecture, cyber security and contracts management.
• The includes management of the cloud and on-premise infrastructure, unified communications, networks, contract and supplier management, technical architecture, cyber.
• The role works closely with colleagues, stakeholders and governance teams as well as external partners and suppliers.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The role will be required to take lead responsibility and be the subject matter expert on all technical aspects of the infrastructure, architecture and security advising the Director of IT & Digital.
The postholder will be required to deputise for the Chief Technology Officer as necessary for resolving escalation and managing stakeholders.
The role will assist in the technical design for the Digital Strategy that is being developed
This role will encompass the following responsibilities:
• To design the overall technical architecture function that builds modern infrastructure and digital architecture that is secure by design.
• To design, plan and deliver technology changes, with oversight of change advisory board.
• To design and deliver technology strategy that manages the infrastructure and end user compute operations.
• To maintain security compliant infrastructure which adheres to but not limited to security standards such as PSN and ISO27001.
• Deliver defined service levels in accordance with ITIL V3/4 or similar frameworks.
• To work with team of technical specialist that can design and deliver fit for purpose digital solutions that are effective and efficient.

Technical Architecture
• To be the subject matter expert for all technical aspects of IT & digital services delivery and provide advice and guidance to the client on best use of innovative technologies and horizon scanning for new innovative solutions.
• To review the client's IT & Digital systems providers to ensure we get value for money from our suppliers.
• To review the client’s digital architecture and create a ‘To Be’ architecture that is fit for purpose for future growth of the digital landscape of the client.

• To ensure a proactive approach is taken to data quality, and that a continuous improvement approach to data quality is adopted across the client.
• These tasks and objectives may be varied from time to time to meet the changing business needs and priorities of the Client.

This is a full time role on a Temporary basis.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a MS Fabric Data Architect
• Comfortable developing and implementing a delivery plan with key milestones based on requirements
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric core features, including setup, configuration, and use of:
• Azure Data Lake (OneLake) for Big Data storage.

What you'll do

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a background in business design and have experience of delivering strategic programmes that support a business strategy and its growth agenda. You’ll have a track record of designing and delivering end-to-end innovative designs and solutions within Operations. You’ll be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and have the ability to influence them with your ideas and concepts and secure the buy-in of all key decision makers.

Your new role
It is as a Senior/ Principal Electrical Engineer that will excel in engineering design, the management of projects and the management of teams, working on multiple projects including multi-million pound schemes. You will act as design lead on projects, promoting design excellence, and you will mentor and develop the skills of the engineers in their team. What you'll need to succeed


You will have a strong technical core competence and background in project delivery. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the principles of building services and other related building design disciplines and a desire to mentor and lead a team of Engineers.
You must also be-

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering/Building Services.
• Proven experience (6+ years) in electrical engineering design within the building services industry.
• Experience leading and developing senior and more junior engineers.
• Comfortable in a client-facing role and willing to contribute to business development activities.
• Experience leading teams on large-scale and often complex projects.
• Experience in the delivery of all phases of a project from inception to completion, but specifically, design and quality control focused and dealing directly with the customer and project teams.
• Experience and awareness of major digital engineering tools, such as CAD/Revit, and Amtech. You will also have experience of delivering projects in a BIM environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ideally Chartered or willing to work towards
