Tutor Duties:

• To be a Tutor to an assigned group of students to undertake daily learning checks .

• To register students, accompany them to assemblies, encourage their full attendance at all lessons and their participation in other aspects of school life.

What you'll be doing;

• Own the entire process design including producing documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, process calculations, resilience scenarios and the description of operation.
• Develop conceptual designs into detailed engineering design packages (typically to RIBA stage 4) for energy centres, district heating networks, distributed energy schemes and other low carbon or renewable turnkey projects.
• Manage the design review process throughout the project with consideration to all aspects including cost and safety. The management of change procedure would document all changes and resulting actions.
• Develop detailed engineering specifications to allow the tendering and procurement of key equipment.
• Produce project specific installation specifications and work packages in order to obtain competitive quotations for the site installation works.
• Implement effective solutions to design issues which may arise minimising their impact on cost and programme.
• Ability to work and liaise with the CAD team.
• Ensure the original technical and performance parameters are maintained throughout the project.
• Understand and implement the relevant safety review processes inclusive of HAZID and HAZOP.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and have the ability to reference design work to industry guidelines from CIBSE, BSRIA, NHS HTM's etc.
• When required, work with the Technical Solutions Team to develop an offer to RIBA stage 2 or 3.

What we're looking for;

• A Qualified engineer in the mechanical field with a good awareness of civil and electrical engineering
• A minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant experience in the energy industry - particularly power generation, large scale energy centres and utilities (large heat pumps, steam raising plant, CHP units, chilled water systems, district heating networks, energy centres and a basic understanding of HV & LV electrical systems to allow interaction with our electrical design team)
• Full UK driving licence

You'll be reporting to the Head of Origination and Distribution Engineering in Content, Technology & Innovation. You will be responsible for a number of key aspects related to lifecycle and reliability of broadcast services leveraging the capabilities in Origination and Distribution.

The Architecture and Design Manager plays a critical leadership role within our broadcast technology organization, steering the visionary Architecture and Design Team as they define the technological foundation and strategic development of our broadcast television solutions. This role involves overseeing the creation of system architectures and design principles that ensure scalability, resilience, and suitability for the complex demands of modern broadcasting.

What you'll do:

As the Architecture and Design Manager, you'll spearhead efforts in deep analysis and innovation in system design, advocating for the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices. Your leadership is crucial in crafting architectures that enhance orchestration, automation, and control across our software and hardware solutions, laying down a clear architectural roadmap to guide product development and ensure alignment with evolving industry trends and technological advancements.

In this pivotal position, you will foster robust collaboration between the various Engineering Teams, translating high-level architectural strategies into practical, actionable solutions. You will provide essential guidance and oversight, ensuring the software development lifecycle adheres to the established architectural standards.

A key part of the role will also involve risk management and technology selection, where they assess potential challenges and opportunities impacting system scalability, performance, and security. They are responsible for defining and tracking KPIs and OKRs that measure and drive the team's impact on product quality and innovation.

• You'll be responsible for the Business and Solution Architecture roadmaps owning the "what dimension" of the platforms delivery leading a team of Solution Architects and Solution designers joining the delivery squads to deploy the designed architectures and services
• Lead and manage a domain architectures teams ensuring we build a high-performing team of architects and designers to become a strong company-wide recognised practice of trusted technologists allowing the business to efficiently scale and innovate to be successful.
• Design an architecture strategy and roadmap to deliver scalable, flexible, simple to extend and resilient event-driven and API-bases architectures defining the integration patterns, services, data models and the business rules to implement solutions able to evolve and react to the new business needs or, better, being proactively an enabler for the business.
• Lead the choices of components/packages being part of the domain continuously reviewing the industry trends and working with key vendors to ensure to provide industry-leading solutions and platform features
• Be part of the O&D leadership team and representing the department across the Group architectural boards and authorities caring the relationships with the other architectural teams
• Collaborate with the Product Owners, the business and tech stakeholders to define the business and operational capabilities , processes and data-driven automated workflows allowing us to efficiently deliver our one Platform vision, an essential enabler for the current and future Sky needs, through a value stream approach

What you'll bring:

• Significant experience on Media/telco IT solution design including mission-critical 24/7 systems and integrations developments in complex/international environments.
• Preferred experiences on Broadcasting domain like TV Contribution, Origination and Content processing distribution solutions
• Knowledge on technologies, tools and methodologies for the SW solution design (API first event driven design, data driven automation, data streams, system integration patterns, microservices architectures, cloud solutions)
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP to implement large-scale solutions based on microservices and serverless architectures of distributed services .
• Proven skills on DB modelling and technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL DBs, Cloud native DBs)
• Deep expertise of media codecs, video, and audio packaging technologies, encryption and DRM systems and supply chain processes and orchestration
• Business processes analysis, Agile and DevOps methodologies (Scrum, SAFE,…) experience
• Attitude to problem solving and a work style driven by objectives, market awareness, knowledge sharing, collaboration and accountability with a passion for technical excellence, business value and the customer satisfaction
• Strong collaborative leadership, communications and active listening skills to engage people on the transformation of our Platforms
• Very good level of English both spoken and written
• Available to travel in and outside Europe

This role is based in our new, state-of-the-art research and innovation building in Battersea, within the Executive Education and Short Courses team, part of the Research and Knowledge Exchange office. Role Overview: We invite applications from motivated individuals with a strong background in marketing and communications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day communications and events administration, working closely with both the Executive Education department and the RCA’s Communications & Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Communications & Engagement:
Implement an effective client engagement plan developed by the Executive Education department.
Prepare content for social media and newsletters, posting regularly on platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Events Administration:

Reporting to the Director of IT (DofIT), the post holder will work closely with the Trusts technical and EPR Acceleration programme teams to aggregate the business objectives and solutions into a well-formed strategic plan. This plan will be equally innovative in its presentation and communication to our stakeholders. The role is accountable for the preparation of the pre-delivery elements of the plan and the delivery of all elements required to meet the pre-delivery phases. Once approved, this role will be responsible for the technical and commercial assurance of the associated proposals. It is the duty of the post holder to manage the delivery of strategy products, business cases and other deliverables through to the Trust board in partnership with the Director of IT and the EPR Programme Director, providing presentations and literature for the technical road map. The post will hold the financial responsibility for budgeting the strategy, ensuring the Trust is well positioned to lead the way in the delivery of fully integrated, consolidated, value-based care delivery.
