Opportunity:

As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be bringing customers automation aspirations to life. Working across a variety of industry sectors (predominantly food & beverage and plastic container handling), you will be designing special purpose machinery and working on some truly ground-breaking projects from scratch. These projects range from solutions as a single unit but more often as part of larger / complete turnkey automation solution.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:


* Project management incorporating ownership from concept, through design and build to customer sign off.
* Design and development of new and existing components/products incorporating conceptual design and conceptualizing new automation solutions.
* Detailing existing designs, site layout design and associated BoMs.

You:


* Suitably qualified (mechanical engineering degree or equivalent preferred) and/or 3+ years practical experience (preferably with special purpose machinery), with a solid understanding of manufacturing and its processes.
* Working in 3D primarily (Auto Desk Inventor preferred).
* Confident to work on own initiative, but equally to collaboration as part of a wider team.
* Confident in liaising with clients.
* A keen eye for detail and able to work to strict timescales.
* Own driving licence required due to site not being covered by public transport.
* Ability to travel when required (domestically/ internationally).
* UK/EU passport holder.

The roles responsibilities include:

· Provide the bridge between business need and the supporting technology, building a holistic view of the organisation.

· Articulation of solution architecture and solutions to key stakeholders

Seeking a skilled Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineer to design fluid system components, including electro-mechanical valves. Responsibilities include crafting assembly procedures, generating design documents using CAD and finite element analysis, and ensuring a commitment to safety in on-site activities. Collaboration on related projects, such as propulsion systems and rocket engine developments, is essential.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (2:1 standard).
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in the space industry.
Proven CAD experience: structural analysis skills advantageous.
Familiarity with fluid system test rig design, instrumentation, and LabView is a plus.
Knowledge of aerospace or space product design, manufacture, and testing.
Familiarity with mechanical hardware and test equipment.

Electronic Engineer required to work on new product development by supporting the hardware design of embedded electronics systems using microprocessors, power supplies, sensor interfacing, power systems control (relays, triacs, stepper motors, etc.) and user interfaces.

Experience:
- 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers (familiarity with ST/Atmel/Microchip products would be advantageous)
- Circuit design and PCB layout for EMC design consideration, ideally OrCAD.
- Embedded C ideally Keil or IAR.
- EMC compliance testing.
- Interaction of electro-mechanical products/mechanisms or experience of control and system design would be desirable

The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified Electronic Engineer with an interest in consumer electronics product design and 3-5 years industry experience.
