Our client is seeking a multi-disciplined Design Engineer with a pro-active and disciplined approach to work to join their dynamic team in Blackpool. You would play a key role as part of a fast-paced NPI and Engineering function at one of the UK's leading manufacturers of dispense systems for the beer, water, and soft drink industries, supplying to household names such as Budweiser, Britvic, Molson Coors, and Karcher.

The Role
Working alongside a multi-disciplined team you would be tasked with undertaking electrical/mechanical product design and development activities for new & existing products whilst supporting the production and manufacturing areas within the business. Key responsibilities will include…
- Coordinating and managing a wide variety of design projects
- Providing technical support, creating drawings and details for throughout the project life cycle
- Producing and updating BoM's for manufacturing and costs
- Producing high quality component and assembly design

The Candidate
- HND/Degree Level qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering related discipline, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in design for manufacture.
- Design skills; the ability to think and conceptualise in three dimensions
- Experience of participating in teams of multidiscipline engineers and designers
- Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant analysis and design software
- Expertise with Drafting software such as inventor and AutoCAD
- Electrical knowledge (BS EN60335, LVD etc)
- Understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work
- Good level of knowledge of quality control systems, workflow management and risk analysis
- High quality standards, meeting quality and performance standards and seeking improvements to the company
