The primary objective of this post is to support the formulation of future organisation and technology strategy in order to guide the Trust through transformation and optimisation initiatives. This will include helping the organisation achieve targeted outcomes related to growing revenue, optimising costs and mitigating risks. They will focus on building relationships with business and IT stakeholders, communicating the value of Enterprise Architecture and the services it offers, and shaping and guiding the delivery of EA’s services.
The post holder will build and lead the formal EA practice, managing a team of domain architects (business, information, solution, technical, security, other). They will respond to disruptive forces by facilitating the decision-making process and providing actionable recommendations on initiatives and policies to help the organisation drive targeted outcomes. They will work closely with senior Trust leaders to enable and influence their future-state capabilities through the choice of initiatives, whether process-, organisation- or technology-related.
The Head of Enterprise Architecture will help Trust leaders achieve business outcomes through understanding, monetising and operationalising existing, new and emerging technologies. They build and motivate the EA team — empowering domain architects — with coaching and mentoring to build a creative and safe learning environment.
The Head of Enterprise Architecture will be accountable for ensuring:
• Engagement with business and IT stakeholders, creating and building relationships related to harnessing the value of an Enterprise Architecture (EA).
• Communication of the value of enterprise architecture, and its portfolio of services.
• Establishment and evolution of the EA team’s services and operating model.
• The alignment between the Digital function and its stakeholders across the Trust, and throughout the IT landscape.
We have four core values which are a focus for how our staff and volunteers work with each other to provide care for our patients.
