About the role
Here at The King’s School, we believe that our students deserve to enjoy lessons that inspire a passion for art, which is why we’re seeking an inspirational Curriculum Leader of Art to join our team.
We are seeking to appoint a creative, innovative and ambitious strategic Curriculum Leader of Art. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at The King’s School. Dynamic, forward thinking and absolutely committed to ensuring all students make outstanding progress so they get the chances in life they deserve, we are seeking a new leader who will share our vision and values and shape the future of Art at The King’s School.
As a Curriculum Leader, you will discover, nurture, and develop the next generation of artists. In front of you is a blank canvas, an enthusiastic team, and our fantastic students who bring a wealth of talent, a positive attitude to learning and a determination to improve.
You will be integral to driving the Art department forward and delivering on our vision of providing a first-class education to all students, so that they make outstanding progress.
Some of your key duties will include:
• Strategically growing uptake in Art and related disciplines at Key Stage 4, as a result of captivating classes in Key Stage 3.
• Delivering outstanding outcomes for our Year 11 students.
• Providing strategic leadership across the area in accordance with the aims and objectives of the school.
• Accountability for pupil attainment and staff performance within the area.
This is a 1 FTE, permanent contract with a start date of January 2025.
