You will undertake a range of administrative tasks in support of the delivery of a comprehensive, customer focused, business support service across Renfrewshire Council.
Key tasks for which you will be responsible include; supervision of staff; duties including meeting and greeting visitors and dealing with customer enquiries online and by telephone in line with Customer Care standards; a range of administrative tasks including the preparation of correspondence, reports and minute taking as required and data quality checking/quality assurance and maintaining a range of manual and computer based recording systems ensuring that all records for which you are responsible for are accurate, up to date and stored in line with Council Policy.
It is essential that you have experience of; customer service; carrying out a wide range of administrative tasks and working with standard computer systems including Microsoft Office packages i.e. Excel and Word. It is also essential that you have the ability to; work as part of a team and on your own initiative; meet deadlines and quality standards; multi task and have effective organisational, communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
It is desirable that you have experience of supervising staff and developing processes and procedures, as well as a knowledge of Renfrewshire Council’s Corporate Policies and practices and Insurance Services.
An SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent is also desirable.
If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
