A Transport Administrator opportunity within a leading drinks logistics company, on an ongoing basis through ourselves Challengetrg.
Working within distribution, you will join a busy team responsible for the delivery of customer orders, working closely with HGV drivers.
About this Transport Administrator job in Avonmouth BS11 9HS -
Previous Transport Background would be beneficial.
- Use of internal systems, for which training is given.
- Customer follow-ups and handling delivery queries
- Driver debriefs and general organisation/communications with delivery teams.
- Seeing the driver crews out in a morning, dealing with routes, vehicle changes crew sickness or vehicle breakdowns
- General admin duties to support wider administration team.
- Compliance (Drivers, HGV, Freight)
Fleet Administrator shift pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- Must be able to cover 06.00 to 06.00 pm. i.e
- Shifts could start at 06.00 or 08.00 or 12.00midday.
- You will need to be flexible around working times, with some later finishes for driver debriefs. And for vehicles returning around 06.00pm i.e. 1800 onwards
About you, the ideal Transport Administrator:
- Previous transport administration experience within the Industrial or Logistics sector is essential.
- Knowledge of SAP
- Crew queries - Data Accuracy - Report Completion
- Previous compliance experience preferred but not essential, including knowledge of freight, drivers and vehicles compliance.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, adapting well to different people, colleagues and customers alike
- Ongoing availability and desire to stay on long term.
- A problem solver and effective organiser
- Computer literate. Running reports
