We are looking for a well organised individual, to ensure an effective mobile/peripatetic clerical support service is provided to our stakeholders and customers within Frontline Schools.
Duties for the post include: providing cover for absences, providing an effective financial business support service involving the handling and supervision of both Council and school fund monies; processing manual and computerised financial, pupil and personnel information; producing and analysing reports; document production, including typing letters and reports; processing purchase orders; providing basic IT assistance; and, instructing, allocating and checking work of employees, and providing advice and guidance on a regular basis.
It is essential that the post-holder has good organisational skills and effective communication skills as you will be supporting the head teacher and other members of the school management team; resolving enquiries from parents and children; and, liaising regularly with other Council staff.
It is essential that you have experience of; working in a clerical role and carrying out a wide range of support duties, as well as working with a range of software packages including Microsoft Excel and databases. It is also essential that you have the ability to; work as part of a team and on your own initiative; work to deadlines and quality standards and have strong organisational, customer care and communication skills.
It is desirable that you have experience of procurement systems (PECOS), Business World, Children’s Services systems and processes.
An SVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent is also desirable.
