• Location: Based in Leeds City Centre (Leeds Combined Court)
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week (9:00-17:00)
• Salary: £11.88 per hour
• Temporary, ongoing contract - Chance of extension subject to client's discretion and business requirements

Overview of role:

You will provide administrative support to the everyday running's of the courts

Responsibilities will include:

• General administrative support
• Telephone calls
• Application issue and document logging
• Monitoring mailbox
• Court clerking - includes public speaking, announcing cases and swearing in witnesses
• Working with stakeholders / public
• Inputting new cases
• Interactions with Judges, court users, defendants and police officers
• Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
• Case work involving use of local IT system, Outlook and Word.

• Client: NPS (Leeds Courts)
• Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
• Some late night working is required until 9pm
• On-going temporary role
• Pay rate: £11.44 per hour
• Vetting would be required which can take 1-3 months to complete

The Role:

• To provide one on one administrative support to a Senior Admin Officer
• Maintaining administration systems within specified timescale
• Going through the Admin Officer diary, data input
• Formatting letters/reports
• Some reception cover
• Making calls to individual providers for evidence of the hours worked for probation and inputting those hours on to internal databases/systems
• Minute taking in meetings handling highly confidential work
• Communicating with various stakeholders via phone/email/letter

Online training will be provided to enable search and navigation of NPS electronic case recording system.

Skills required:

• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Email eg Outlook
• Admin experience
• Have empathy and patience when dealing with sensitive situations

Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Our justice system defends our fundamental rights and freedoms. It is a cornerstone of our modern society and it must serve all those who call on it, when they call on it. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.

Our Public Sector client are looking for a temporary employee to join their team as an admin officer. This is a temporary role until 30/09/2024 - This is very likely to be extended. This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. The usual working hours for this role will be around the hours of 8-4/9-5 - dependent on business needs. The pay rate for this role is £11.88, paid on a weekly basis.

This is fully office based, with no remote or hybrid opportunities due to the nature of the work. The office is located in Birmingham City Centre - B5 4UU.

Your role will be to support with administrative tasks that come alongside the employment tribunal cases. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Processing claims and claim management
- Dealing with admin processes including correspondence, write offs, reports and checks
- Reviewing accounts
- Communications with public and judiciary
- Ad hoc admin: filing, photocopying, scanning etc

The ideal candidate for this role will be 12-18 months of admin experience within a workplace. Full training will be provided for this role.
