Job Summary
IT Planning & Finance: The successful applicant will be part of the team in Technology Business Management (TBM) Unit. The applicant is responsible for supporting the effective planning, reporting, and financial oversight of the Technology Group (TG) projects and initiatives. This role focuses on driving governance processes, ensuring alignment between strategic IT plans, and maintaining robust financial management practices. The individual will work closely with internal teams to execute financial reporting, project planning, and budgeting activities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Planning & Governance • Project Pipeline and Portfolio Management: Support the development and reporting of the TG project pipeline, including tracking and analysing project performance and key deliverables. • Business-As-Usual (BAU) Reporting: Assist in preparing BAU performance reports for ongoing TG initiatives and align with overall strategic goals. • Manpower Planning: Contribute to TG manpower planning processes, ensuring adequate staffing for IT projects and initiatives based on current and future needs. • Transformation Office Support: Assist in activities related to the TG Transformation Office, helping to align project governance with the Digital Government Blueprint and other long-term strategic plans. • Governance Frameworks: Assist in the implementation of IT governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organisational policies and standards. 2. IT Financial Management • Budgeting and Financial Planning: Support the preparation of TG’s annual financial budget, working with divisions to ensure accurate forecasting of project costs and IT resource allocation. • Financial Reporting: Assist in tracking financial performance across TG projects, including monthly and quarterly reporting on expenses, revenue, and capital expenditures. • Asset Ownership and Management: Support the implementation of TG’s asset ownership framework, tracking and managing IT assets, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. • Workday Data Management: Assist in the management and maintenance of the TG Workday data management framework, ensuring financial data is accurate, updated, and aligned with TG project objectives. • Expense Tracking and Forecasting: Collaborate with divisions to execute monthly financial forecasts, tracking variances and ensuring budget adherence.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
Min. 5 years of experience in IT governance, project planning, or financial management.
• Strong understanding of IT project planning, governance frameworks, and financial reporting.
• Experience in financial budgeting, expense tracking, and project portfolio management.
• Familiarity with financial and resource management tools (e.g., Workday) and IT budgeting frameworks.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional teams.
