Carry out any other task appropriate to the grade, level of training and / or experience.

Our Pharmacy team at Nuffield Health Hospital Tunbridge Wells currently have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist with a specialist interest in oncology and the peri-operative management of elective surgical patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and self-motivated pharmacist to integrate with the Pharmacy team and oncology / surgical multi-disciplinary teams to deliver an outstanding level of service to our oncology, haemato-oncology and elective surgical patients. As a key member of the wider multi-disciplinary team at Nuffield Health, you will feel the benefit from processes that fully integrate medicines into the personalised pathway of care for our patients.

The ideal candidate will work flexibly to meet the demands of the service:

Approx. 0.8WTE of the role will be dedicated to the oncology pharmacy service, with patients currently being treated across 4 days per week. There is some flexibility in how the hours are worked on each day, and blended working arrangements would be considered for the right candidate. Our ambition is for the successful candidate to additionally support their Pharmacy colleagues through in-situ training and competency assessment to create a multi-skilled Pharmacy workforce within the oncology service offering.

Approx. 0.2WTE of the role will be spent providing ward-based clinical pharmacy services to our elective surgical patients, and assisting our pharmacy dispensary colleagues with the dispensing and checking of discharge and outpatient prescriptions.

This is an ideal role for a Band 7 (equivalent) pharmacist with oncology / haemato-oncology experience who is ready for the next step in their career, but wishes to maintain input into another clinical speciality for variety within their role. • Development of protocols and guidelines for SACT treatment.

• Ordering of SACT in readiness for patient treatment.

• Education and training of colleagues in support of their development with oncology competencies.

• Liaison with other Nuffield Hospital oncology sites to share knowledge and expertise.

• Attending meetings with pharmacy and other oncology leads within the Nuffield Health group on a regular basis, implementing changes to policy and procedure locally.

Skills & Experience:

• UK Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council (Essential).

• At least 4-5 years of post-qualification experience.

• Experience of supervising and training other staff.

• Post-qualification experience within oncology and haemato-oncology and the ability to screen and verify oncology and haemato-oncology regimes and prescriptions (Essential).

• Post-qualification experience in the provision of a ward-based clinical pharmacy service is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

• Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures.

• Excellent communication and people skills. This is essential as you will be working closely with patients as well as a variety of clinical staff.

Oncology experience is essential for this role, and further training within this clinical speciality will be encouraged and supported.

About the role
In the role of HomeseekerPlus Coordinator you will take a central administrative and coordinating role between the seven local authorities involved in the HomeseekerPlus sub-regional Choice Based Lettings (CBL) scheme. These authorities include Tewkesbury Borough Council, Gloucester City Council, Cheltenham Borough Council, Stroud District Council, Forest of Dean District Council, Cotswold District Council and West Oxfordshire District Council.
You will be responsible for providing relevant data on the scheme and act as a first point of contact for general enquiries about the working of the HomeseekerPlus scheme.
This is an essential role which at its core makes such a difference to making sure those who need housing have the available sources to do so.
This role can be based at any of the partner Local Authorities, and you will be required to travel occasionally between all 7 partners. You will be required to work from one of the partner councils at least 2 days a week. This role is flexible allowing you the ability to work from home and in the office.
You will need

Qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 1 or GCSE in Maths and English
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Natural and engaging style of communication
Ability to apply good judgement and query issues where appropriate

To undertake a range of duties ensuring the provision of an efficient reception service and the accurate recording of patient information on the Trust Radiology Information System. To participate in all queries from patients, visitors and medical staff as a first line of contact in a clinical environment. The post holder will be expected to work Trust wide with varying working patterns including but not restricted to 8.00 to 20.30 Monday to Sunday. To participate in all aspects of the administration service within Radiology. To undertake a range of duties to ensure an accurate and efficient waiting list and bookings service is available to GP services provided by the Radiology Directorate. The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the care navigator team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the practice manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels: Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments, either over the telephone or face to face. Add all visit requests onto the duty doctors telephone triage list with a contact number and brief reason for visit. Processing and distributing incoming mail Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers Keeping the reception area, noticeboards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter Using your own judgment and communication skills, ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner. Explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover, and ensure procedures are completed. Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery. Advise patients of relevant charges for private (non General Medical Services) services, accept payment and issue receipts for same. Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy in turn with other staff. Open up premises at the start of the day when first to arrive, de-activate alarm and make all necessary preparations to receive patients. When last to leave at the end of the day, ensure that the building is totally secured, internal lights are off and the alarm activated. Ensure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the partners or the practice manager.

A range of clinical skills will be essential for the role including: competency in early pregnancy ultrasound scanning; responsibility for organising a patient caseload; breaking bad news/counselling; prioritise care and management of patient pathway; work with MDT across gynaecology, maternity & fertility; provide a seamless, high quality service. The post holder be responsible for managing the care of women and their partners experiencing pregnancy loss and will therefore be required to have excellent communication and counselling skills. Leadership of the service ,including service improvement and some operational management duties, will be required. You will also be expected to be able to use I.T systems for the management of nurse led clinics.
