• Functions as facility Employee Occupational Health nurse, working in collaboration with EOH Clinicians and the Medical Director.
• Supports the delivery of Employee Occupational Health services, including triaging employees with illnesses and injuries, COVID testing and providing vaccinations.
• Functions as a consultant in health promotion and disease prevention and uses advanced clinical knowledge/judgment to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate programs to promote healthy behaviors among employees.
• Manages the annual Employee Influenza vaccination campaign.

• Performs data collection and analysis to determine employee health needs and expectations for the occupational health and employee wellness program. Based on this information, develops, implements, and evaluates activities for effectiveness.

The incumbent in this position is responsible for all areas of canteen operations relating to retail, food, vending, sales, merchandising, accountability, misc. service of the canteen located in West Roxbury, MA. The incumbent is responsible for a full range of personnel management, administrative controls, reviews, & processes relative to canteen operations. e.g., POGs, RPOS, inventory controls, stock schedules, food safety, sanitation, promotional programs, etc. The incumbent is responsible for attaining financial goals & implementing program objectives as established by VCSCO and/or Region Manager.

The Orthotist, Prosthetist or Orthotist/Prosthetist, provide appropriate orthotic and/or prosthetic devices and treatment.

• An examination of the patient and assessment of their individual needs and desires.
• Compliance with the treatment plan.
• Design, component selection, measurement/casting of the patient, fabrication and fitting of the device to the patient.
• Proper documentation of the patient record.
• Continuing care and periodic examination of the patient and the orthotic/prosthetic device to assess fit, function and changing needs of the patient.

Physician (Vascular Surgery) duties consist of but are not limited to the following:

• Surgical duties that include: admissions, consultations, preoperative work ups, as well as postoperative care to correct or treat various vascular conditions, illnesses and injuries.
• Operates or directs the operation of fluoroscopic equipment for a medical procedure.
• Actively participates in Emergency and On-Call schedule.
• Provides comprehensive vascular care including prevention, health maintenance, early diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services to patients.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of support duties that facilitates the work of physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nursing assistants and other members of the medical facility who provide Veteran care.

• Assists with Veterans who commonly present with acute episodes of psychotic/behavioral issues associated with the DSM-V. Some of the patients may present with a concomitant substance use intoxication that may need detoxification while being treated for their presenting psychiatric disorder.

Duties for this position includes but are not limited to:

• Working closely with medical center clinicians, Chief of Staff, and/or the Associate Director to encourage involvement and knowledge of MHV information and for approval of promoting/training strategies within the VAMC and in the community.
• Establishing a MHV team, holds monthly team meetings, and effectively coordinates MHV team activities.
• Participating in monthly MHVPC and VISN conference calls, attends MHV-related training, and shares lessons learned from this training with team members, other facility staff, and management.
• Providing one-on-one or group training to providers on a regular basis to encourage involvement with the MHV Program and informs clinicians of new releases and time frames, as well as answers questions related to the MHV Program.
• Working closely with clinical applications coordinators to promote clinical and Veterans support with the MHV Program and develops and integrates MHV strategies to enhance Veteran-provider communications and improve overall quality of care.
