The Role

Orange Grove Fostercare Southern Counties registration covers the whole of the South, London, and Essex area. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic, committed, and has an appreciation of the role of the foster parent and their skills. We ask our Social Workers to take a collaborative approach with foster parents in order to promote meaningful and relevant supervision of placements. Requirements

• Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent

• A comprehensive working knowledge of all fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation
• Excellent communication skills
• A commitment to high-quality practice

This rewarding Relief Support Worker role will require flexibility across the week and your working time will involve working shifts which include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. A high level of motivation and personal commitment is required along with demonstrable skills in engaging service users in planning their support. You will also be expected to work professionally alongside Care Managers and health professionals and to communicate positively with families, carers and friends.
Relevant experience of supporting people with a learning disability or autism is essential as well as a ‘can-do approach’, person-centred values, energy and commitment. You will need good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop good quality support plans. You will have a strong work ethic and duty of care and be able to contribute to a positive, team approach. You must enjoy good health and be able to carry out all expected care and daily living tasks.

As a Creative Support Bank Staff member you will have access to our free app which allows you to pick up shifts in any area of the country, provides information on the service and shifts as well as directions. You will be paid on a weekly basis.
