We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in theSouthend-on-Sea CAMHS Team, based at Skyline Plaza, 45 Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6BB. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit as soon as possible.



You will join a 0.8wte Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.



You will be expected to:

· Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Southend-on-Sea.

· Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team

· Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals

· Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:7, with a 2% of basic salary, Category B on-call supplement.

· Support your peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.

· Work alongside 0.8wte Specialty Doctor.

· Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting, and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

• You will be writing and modifying software to a high standard and consistently deliver on your own User Story commitments

Skills we would love you to have

• Practical experience working as a developer in an agile team, supporting and developing enterprise level applications.
• JavaScript and React JS are essential and knowledge of its main fundamentals such as JSX, Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, etc. are desirable
• Current experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries is desirable
• A good understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Java/JVM languages are advantageous
• Knowledge of a Test-driven approach including exposure to either TDD or BDD would be a strong advantage

• Supporting Home Claims in building the right capability in providing good customer and commercial outcomes - reviewing and monitoring outcomes/KPI's and supporting improvements through technical development
  
• Creating, maintaining and delivering all function specific technical training for the department, as well as maintaining new start training content as a subject matter expert

Clinical Practice Assess, diagnose, triage, and manage patients, taking responsibility for the management of a complex caseload. What skills and experience we're looking for

• Plan work in accordance with department learning schemes and National Curriculum programmes of study.
• Liaise with relevant colleagues in the planning of units of work for collaborative delivery.

• Take account of students' prior levels of attainment and use them to set targets for future improvements.

• Mark, monitor and return work with a reasonable and agreed time span providing constructive oral and written feedback and clear targets for future learning as appropriate as outlined in the school assessment policy.
• Carry out assessment programmes e.g. reports as agreed by the Academy.
• Attend the appropriate consultation evenings to keep parents informed as to the progress of their child.
• Be familiar with the Code of Practice for identification and assessment of Special Educational Needs and keep appropriate records on Individual Education Plans for students.
• Undertake responsibility for a tutor group as required including academic mentoring.
• Be the first point of contact for parents and students in the tutor group.
• Monitor (and set targets for) the academic and social progress of individuals in the tutor group.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Teacher of German to join our busy Department.

The post would be suitable for a Graduate with a Degree in German who is interested in pursuing a teaching qualification. Currently, the School trains teachers through the University of Buckingham's Teacher Apprenticeship route (with the option to add the PGCE), and we also have a new connection with the National Modern Languages SCITT for whom we are hosting two MFL trainee teachers this year.

The post would also be suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in either their first or second year of the Early Career Framework. ECTs at WHSB follow the ECF training through the National Institute of Teaching. ECTs also benefit from a reduced timetable and a dedicated mentor.
