This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-6. Duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Perform technical level purchasing support adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Veteran Affairs Acquisition Regulations (VAAR), Veteran Health Administration (VHA), and Prosthetics directives and handbooks, Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN) policy and station memorandums to acquire Veteran specific medical equipment, supplies and services based on a medical provider's clinical assessment and evaluation of the Veteran's medical condition;
• Submits Acquisition Plans and Procurement Packages for stock and veteran specific needs to the Network Contracting Office and uploads quotes, bids, invoices, consults, and other important documents to Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS);
• Verifies Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) and Bradstreet information and ensures each vendor is in System for Award Management (SAM) and in good standing with the government to do business with;
• Verifies accountability of all prosthetics expenditures in both the purchase menu and the prosthetics program and associate all obligations to the individual veteran;
• Ensure the services provides are documented not only as the type of service, but the duration;
• Complex purchasing: requires irregular research, analysis, collaboration and many other steps to ensure both best value and the most appropriate devices are purchased for the Veterans;
• Routine purchasing: includes routine purchase orders on established contracts or through established vendor resources using regular significant research, analysis or collaboration;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Your New Role

The In-House Grounds Maintenance Operations Service is responsible for the maintenance of parks and open spaces, allotments, cemeteries, golf courses and semi-natural open space with assorted sports and play facilities within. The services main priority is to maintain a high standard across all parks and open spaces and services areas.

Within this role you will be required to carry out a range of ground maintenance duties which will include grass cutting - using both specialised pedestrian and ride on grass cutting machinery, including golf course maintenance machinery. You will also be required to carry out all maintenance including stimming - following the mowing process, maintenance of shrubs and hedges, seasonal flower beds spraying of herbicides and pesticides, fine turf maintenance and grass sports maintenance. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a Horticulture and practical knowledge in these areas and in additional areas detailed in the job profile. Full training and uniform will be provided.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual with experience in general ground maintenance, as well as a full driving licence. It would be an advantage to hold certification PA1 PA6 in herbicide and pesticide application or equivalent. You will be able to use tools and machinery required for the role and have experience of using garden machinery including riding on mowers. Working under supervisory instruction you will be able to follow set process and procedures but be able to work automatously when required, with the ability to plan and manage your time effectively. You will be flexible to provide cover at weekends and out of normal working hours when required.

As the SEMH Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, ensuring they are given the best possible foundation for learning and personal growth. - Develop and Lead SEMH Strategy: Design, implement, and monitor an effective SEMH support framework to address the needs of students with varying levels of social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Direct Student Support: Work directly with students requiring SEMH support, providing one-on-one sessions and small group interventions to build resilience, coping skills, and social skills.
- Staff Collaboration and Training: Work collaboratively with teachers, LSAs, and pastoral staff to identify students in need and provide guidance on effective SEMH strategies in the classroom. Lead training sessions and workshops for staff, enhancing their understanding of SEMH and equipping them to better support students.
- Family and Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and external agencies, keeping them informed of student progress and providing them with resources and strategies to support students at home.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on SEMH initiative's impact. Regularly review and refine support plans, ensuring they are effective and responsive to individual needs.
- Crisis Management and Intervention: Respond promptly to critical incidents involving SEMH needs, providing immediate support and guidance to students and liaising with necessary stakeholders for ongoing care.
- Promote a Positive School Environment: Actively contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture, championing the importance of mental health and emotional well-being in the school community.

The ideal SEMH Lead will have:
- Experience in SEMH Support: Proven experience working with young people with SEMH needs, ideally within an educational setting. Knowledge of mental health challenges and experience with interventions that promote resilience and emotional stability.
- Commitment and Resilience: A passionate and committed approach to improving young people's lives, especially those facing significant challenges. The resilience to handle complex situations with patience and professionalism.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with students, staff, parents, and external professionals. Ability to engage and build trust with young people and inspire confidence in their progress.
- Organizational Skills: Strong administrative skills with an ability to manage case loads, maintain detailed records, and report on the progress and effectiveness of SEMH initiatives.
- Knowledge of SEMH Best Practices: A sound understanding of best practices in SEMH support, safeguarding, and child protection, along with an ability to apply these to create a supportive environment.
- Relevant Qualifications: A background in social work, psychology, counselling, education, or a related field is highly desirable, along with any qualifications or training specific to SEMH.

Production Operative (Electrical Assembly)

Gosport.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, and 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

Eligibility: candidates will need to be BPSS clearance eligible so would have had to been in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.

The client manufactures products used across the defence sector and are looking for individuals with Electrical Assembly experience as follows:

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Prepare and assemble units / PCB's (including soldering) in accordance with detailed work instruction sheets, customer specific drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret complex CCA drawings, including systems and notes
• Verify that routings and detailed Work Instruction Sheets have been followed for all activities
• Adhere to the Company's quality operating procedures at all times during the execution of day to day assembly activities, complying with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, AS9100 and NADCAP procedures where required
• Ensure compliance to the Company's Health and Safety and Environmental procedures
• Become proficient in the procedures and processes relevant to the position and to highlight training needs when required
• Act at all times in accordance with the terms and conditions described in the Employee's contract of employment
• Apply a professional and conscious approach in your day to day operations
• Engage in 5s activities as required by local supervision and other Lean events when required to do so
• Carry out any other duties commensurate with your skills

Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven and demonstrable experience of working within electronic assembly / PCB operations, ideally within the defence or aerospace sector
• A good understanding of Health and Safety Management within an engineering / manufacturing environment
• The ability to demonstrate attention to detail and produce a high standard of work, apply a 'right first time' approach
• Ideally qualified to IPC and JSTD soldering standards
• Willingness and desire to learn new skills and invest in professional development
• Excellent communications skills with proven experience of engaging and building relationships within a team
