Job Description
We are looking to hire a skilled CNC programmer to operate and maintain our CNC equipment. As a CNC programmer, you will read and interpret technical blueprints, input the design specifications, adjust the machine cutting paths, and perform quality checks on the final product. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
To ensure success as a CNC Programmer, you should have extensive experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised. Ultimately, a top-class CNC programmer works quickly and efficiently, ensuring all products meet the specifications of the client.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
- Loading raw materials into the CNC machine.
- Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software.
- Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
- Adjust machine settings to the desired product specifications.
- Create CNC program for new development projects, typically direct from a drawing.
- Calculate and write programs for CNC work centres to fabricate component parts to stated engineering specifications.
- Works independently to troubleshoot and resolve problems concerning machining operations, tools, materials and CNC programs.
- Perform detailed analysis of the component parts configuration/dimensions to determine the most efficient machining operations required for production.
- Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
- Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
- Insert computer programs into CNC work centres, set and adjust machine speeds and feeds, modify programs and document changes as required.
Requirements
- Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering field or related courses.
- Minimum 2 years experience in CNC programming.
- Candidates with hands on experience with CNC Milling operations are preferred.
- Candidates who are familiar with Mastercam and Gibbscam will have added advantage.
- Must be able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office.
