Key Duties of the Post 1. Working with colleagues at both St. Marys Hospital and the Queen Alexandra Hospital, contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and high-quality Hyper-acute, Acute and Stroke Rehabilitation Service. 2. Manage their time and prioritise and time-manage effectively in response to departmental activity. Take a critical approach to own medical practice, looking for opportunities to make improvements in the care of patients and share with others. 3. Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients who present with Stroke and Stroke mimic symptoms and appropriate referral to other clinical and non-clinical colleagues including primary care colleagues, as appropriate. 4. Manage hyper acute Stroke including the delivery of thrombolysis to patients in line with protocols. 5. Undertake trans-ischaemic and outpatient clinics and ward work as per job plan collaborating with colleagues in relation to progressing patient care from admission to discharge. 6. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings as scheduled in the job plan. 7. Undertake the clinical supervision of junior medical and other clinical staff sharing specialist knowledge and expertise. 8. Engage in medical audit and other clinical effectiveness activities, the Trusts Clinical Governance processes and in CPD is provided in job plans and attendance at audit and other governance meetings is mandatory. 9. Carry out investigations on samples of tissue to diagnose disease and monitor the treatment of patients. The job plan, for 10 PAs will commence with 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities [SPA]. One SPA may be worked flexible and off site if desired in accordance with agreement with LNC. The role includes emergency duties (including emergency work carried out during or arising from on-call); operating sessions including pre-operative and post-operative care, outpatient activities, clinical diagnostic work and other patient treatment. Consultants provide a second on call service during the week (Monday Thursday 9am 7pm and Friday 9am 5pm). This post holder will cover this rotationally in agreement with their colleagues. In addition, when carrying out on call the post holder will be required to grade incoming referrals, this attracts an additional 0.5 DCC PA.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Ready Mix Production Manager, the role of Plant Supervisor - Readymix is an operational role responsible for managing and being accountable for the RMX operations on our plant. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role with delivery to customer needs and performance improvement being key.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities for the Plant Supervisor – Readymix include:

• Supporting the RMX Production Manager in the management of plant compliance with business policies and procedures
• Batching concrete to meet customer needs whilst meeting internal quality requirements
• Ensuring Readymix deliveries are met, engaging with Readymix Distribution Teams throughout
• Working closely with Readymix Technical Teams to ensure quality control of all products
• Haulier management - coordinating collection loads daily
• Supervising Contractors (no direct reports)
• Ensuring that legislative compliance is also a strong aspect of the role.
• Overseeing all aspects of daily production including operational costs and control stocks
• Taking responsibility for their own safety and that of colleagues, contractors and business partners
• Maintaining site housekeeping to a high standard

Key Stakeholders within this role are RMX Production Manager, RMX General Manager, Aggregates Distribution Teams, Quarry Teams, Customers collecting orders.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Plant Supervisor - Readymix will already have experience in plant operations preferably within a Ready Mix / Aggregates environment however this is not essential as we also welcome applications from candidates with hands on manufacturing experience too.

Suitable candidates for the role of Plant Supervisor - Readymix will also:

• Actively identify and implement site and process improvements
• Be happy to multitask and manage change
• Possess excellent communication skills and confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels (both internally and externally)
• Demonstrate superb attention to detail
• Evidence good time management skills
• Be flexible and adaptable to ensure delivery of customer requirements and workload priorities (paid overtime)
• Enjoy working as part of a team and be able to motivate others
• Have full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems as well as working knowledge of H&S and Environmental policies
• Have working knowledge of production processes
• IOSH Managing Safely (preferred but we will train)
• NVQ in fixed and mobile plant operations (preferred but we will train)

A full UK driving licence will also be required for the role.
