Job Description

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Station Management – oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and upkeep your designated area with supplies and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures
• Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times

Professional/Clinical Under the direction of the Clinical Director of Pharmacy and supported by the Advanced Clinical Pharmacist you will: Deliver optimum clinical pharmacy services to patients within our care Attend MDTs and consultant ward rounds. Be responsible for the safe and effective transfer of patients across care settings including medicines reconciliation on admission and authorise discharge summaries on discharge Provide clinical pharmacist support and advice to consultants, junior doctors, nurses, members of the MDT, patients and their carers by completion of medicines reconciliation, comprehensive drug histories, pharmacist led medication reviews, monitoring and advising on strategies to optimise response to therapies Be supported in this training post to achieve a Clinical Diploma and Independent Prescriber qualification or similar qualification. Coming from a similar background, the ideal candidate will be comfortable carrying out the following job duties:

• Carry out tool changes and setting for plastics moulding machinery (Extrusion Blow moulding or Injection Moulding).
• Fault finding on machinery, identifying mechanical faults, set up issues, ancillary equipment settings and production quality issues.
• Raise maintenance works orders detailing any machine faults to the maintenance department.
• Ensure a QC check is completed on machines or at your supervisor’s request accurately every 2 hours.
• Ensure all production checks & documentation are completed properly.
• Carry out Post-Production Quality Check in accordance with Blowmould Work Instruction 10.
• Ensure that tool changes, colour changes etc., are carried out in accordance with the training procedure as laid down by the Manager/Technical supervisor or relevant work instructions.
• Ensure the machines are running correctly and safely at all times in accordance to the Blowmould programme.
• All check/log sheets and pallet labels should be filled out clearly and correctly with all relevant information.
• Ensure that line clearances are carried out at every change over in line with company procedures.
• Ensure that your work area is kept safe, clean, and tidy during and at the end of the shift.

JOB PURPOSE The postholder will work within the Plymouth Community Dental Service PCDS to develop, implement and evaluate defined Oral Health Improvement activities. Working closely with clinicians to ensure effective and efficient delivery of oral health programmes in line with national oral health strategies such as Delivering Better Oral Health, an evidence-based toolkit. This role will undertake oral health appointments with patients of the service, including adults/children and those with additional needs or who are medically compromised and to undertake fluoride varnish application under the prescription of a clinician. SCOPE AND RANGE This post will provide a comprehensive oral health service for patients with complex needs, as well as evidence-based oral health promotion to key population groups, in line with national and local strategies for reducing inequalities in oral health. The provision of Oral Health Promotion is multifaceted, requiring a range of inter-personal, presentational, and organisational skills, as well as an understanding of the impact of social and environmental determinants of health. The ability to work independently and flexibly is an essential part of this post. Responsibility for People Management Facilitate and support with on-going staff training in oral health promotion to the wider dental team and other healthcare professionals where appropriate. You may be required to represent the service on the Plymouth Oral Health Improvement Group, in conjunction with Plymouth City Council, Public Health and other oral health providers. Ability to be able to visit different locations within the city to support with oral health promotion for the dental service. COMMUNICATIONS AND RELATIONSHIPS This postholder will work with patients of the service, other dental colleagues to inform of up-to-date oral health promotion toolkits. Oral health promotion will also be undertaken with wider Livewell colleagues (such as in-patient settings), local residential homes and local schools. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB This post will undertake oral health activity in a dental surgery setting as well as talks in local schools and residential homes. Knowledge of Basic Life Support techniques and certificate of training and willingness to complete ILS training/certification and regular updates, provided by Livewell Southwest Trained in recognising medical emergencies and assists in dealing with them.
