Salary: Band: 3, ÂŁ24,027 - ÂŁ24,420 p.a.
37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, but will be required to work some weekends.

Your New Role
The In-House Grounds Maintenance Operations Service is responsible for the maintenance of parks and open spaces, allotments, cemeteries, golf courses and semi-natural open space with assorted sports and play facilities within. The services main priority is to maintain a high standard across all parks and open spaces and services areas.
Within this role you will be required to carry out a range of ground maintenance duties which will include grass cutting - using both specialised pedestrian and ride on grass cutting machinery, including golf course maintenance machinery. You will also be required to carry out all maintenance including stimming - following the mowing process, maintenance of shrubs and hedges, seasonal flower beds spraying of herbicides and pesticides, fine turf maintenance and grass sports maintenance. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a Horticulture and practical knowledge in these areas and in additional areas detailed in the job profile. Full training and uniform will be provided.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual with experience in general ground maintenance, as well as a full driving licence. It would be an advantage to hold certification PA1 PA6 in herbicide and pesticide application or equivalent. You will be able to use tools and machinery required for the role and have experience of using garden machinery including riding on mowers. Working under supervisory instruction you will be able to follow set process and procedures but be able to work automatously when required, with the ability to plan and manage your time effectively. You will be flexible to provide cover at weekends and out of normal working hours when required.
