JOB TITLE: Backend software engineer
SALARY: £68,202 - £75,780 per annum
LOCATION: Manchester
HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our office in Manchester.
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Intelligent Gateway lab, for a backend engineer to further build, maintain and develop the banks telephony channel.
As a Lead Software Engineer within the Intelligent Gateway team, you'll be encouraged to work as part of an agile team to guide and implement technical solutions. You'll be responsible to help promote sound engineering practices and to work alongside team members to architect, design, and implement those solutions.
You'll be using Git to manage most of the source code, and SonarQube to help monitor code quality. Jira and Confluence are used heavily for task management and documentation.
You'll be an innovator and join us whilst we are about to head into the next phase of our transformation journey. We are looking for naturally passionate and curious engineers, with an innovative mind, who can make use of our newly delivered architecture and support the evolution to a full micro-service application that can drive change, further improve operational efficiency, and deliver at pace!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
