Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are supporting various UK water companies to deliver a range of vital projects as part of our on-going design and build frameworks. In particular, our hydraulic modelling team are providing inputs to reduce the risk of spill to the environment from storm overflows.
Our busy and growing team are looking for a talented individual to support us on our current and upcoming projects as a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller in Durham, based at Northumbrian Water Groups co-located offices.
This role is a key part of the water team and you will be working on exciting and diverse projects throughout the North East and the rest of the UK. As a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller you will be responsible for the following:
- Support on hydraulic modelling studies, Sewerage Management Planning, Network Modelling as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis / asset management
- Searching for and organising data and information;
- Data analysis, visualisation and programming (eg. FME, Power BI)
- Feasibility studies/options development: Asset Performance Assessments/Reviews, Report preparation/drawings, scheduling of work for sub-contractors and third-party survey teams, and liaison during the projects.
- Provide technical capability on wastewater projects as part of a project team
- Assist the Project Manager in the management/co-ordination of projects
- Contributing to technical reports and presentations;
- Supporting the development of proposals for new projects.
An interest in developing a career in Urban Drainage modelling/Asset management is a requirement of this role, to gain a full understanding of new projects and different clients, which will provide fresh experiences and support your development.
