The Oxford Health Pharmacy & Medicines Management service employs approximately 80 staff, predominantly clinical pharmacists, and technicians, supported by dispensary and administrative staff. Clinical pharmacists and medicines management technicians (MMTs) are based on clinical sites with supply and support functions at hubs in Oxfordshire. The department provides services to our mental health and community hospital patients, alongside other community-based patients and teams. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced respiratory professional to join a new service supporting altered airway and complex respiratory patients across North-Central London (NCL). The service was started in 2023 and has funding to expand and continue for 12-months.

The aim of the role is to provide respiratory expertise; to facilitate hospital discharge of altered airway and complex respiratory patients, support management in the community and provide education and training for other community teams. The role will be hosted by UCLH and will have close working links with other acute hospitals and services across NCL.

We are looking for an individual with advanced skills in the management of altered airway and complex respiratory patients, in the acute or community setting. Experience working in the community, project management skills or previous experience developing a service are desirable.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and motivated person who can provide decisive and effective therapy input and demonstrate high level communication skills and a flexible approach when working under pressure. This would be an ideal secondment for someone looking to further their experience.

• To input to the design and delivery of this service; while supporting complex respiratory management of patients across NCL.
• To provide support to facilitate discharge from and avoid admission to hospital for these individuals.
• To provide expert clinical advice through training, guidance and information to the community teams and people who support the patients at home
• To be an experienced practitioner in all aspects of respiratory practice, developing an advanced level of professional autonomy and accountability in the provision of such care.

Key responsibilities:
To lead the clinical commissioning agenda across the Trust to ensure the appropriate use of high cost medicines commissioned by Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)

To work with the Formulary and Medicines Management team and the EHRS team in developing a mechanism where future upgrades to Epic incorporate the required fields to enable an automated interface with Blueteq.

To lead on the Trust-wide training, monitoring, and audit of Blueteq submissions for ICB commissioned high cost medicines.

To lead on all governance issues related to ICB commissioned high cost medicines and to deliver on clinical efficiency initiatives in line with Trust targets.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The Transitional Support team are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their team. The team focuses on providing care, 5 days a week, for clients in both (staffed projects and houses out in the community) shared houses and flats, creating a comfortable, safe and pleasant environment while helping residents work towards more independent living in the future. The position will require occasional evening and weekend work as required in accordance with the shift rota.

THE ROLE
This position involves delivering comprehensive administrative services and ensuring efficient property management support. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day management of the Student Office and handling resident enquiries.
• Facilitating the provision and management of keys to contractors.
• Supporting the production of management reports as needed.

THE CANDIDATE

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*-C).
• Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Admin co-ordinator The Trust Decontamination Advisor is responsible for ensuring that the decontamination services across the Trust are compliant with relevant standards, and the Trust structure is statutorily compliant to meet the needs of the service and patients.

The role will ensure the provision of Trust wide advice and guidance on all matters relating to decontamination, medical equipment and reusable Medical Devices, demonstrating high levels of technical knowledge, skills and a proven track of high-quality performance.


• Provide specialised technical support to managers and clinicians on the appropriate arrangements of the overall process of decontamination and ensure separate records of decontamination processes are maintained and audited.
• Provide expert advice for the decontamination of all associated life cycling requirements including track and trace. This will include all current and future equipment purchases and the development of a strategy for re-usable medical devices in compliance with national decontamination guidelines.
• Provide expert professional advice to managers and clinicians on the decontamination of re- useable medical devices patient shared equipment and devices/equipment being proposed for use in trials and for research purposes for the Trust.
• Reviews and monitors equipment decontamination processes including validation tests and compliance.
• Provide advice and guidance to enable Trust-wide business planning for decontamination and medical equipment as required.
• Act as the Trust’s nominated person and be responsible via the DIPC for the decontamination of medical devices, providing assurance as necessary on issues arising. Ensure systems, policies and procedures are developed and maintained to comply with the latest legislative standards and national guidelines.

• Assess, identify, and escalate appropriately any decontamination risks, Health & Safety, Security and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) related to the Estates Department and external contractors.

Manage service budgets, ensuring optimal resource use and maintaining financial control. Monitor financial and performance targets, addressing variances and coordinating with other budget holders. Identify CIP and revenue opportunities, and lead the cost pressure processes.

Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with partners in NCL/NEL, chair meetings, and ensure SLAs and job planning are aligned to improve patient pathways and experience.
