  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, conscientious, proactive, with the ability to work with integrity. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years previous experience of working in a busy HR Department in a similar role and a minimum of CIPD level 5 or equivalent. An understanding of HR processes and an up-to-date, working knowledge of current UK employment law is also required. Experience of providing HR advice within the care sector is desired but not essential. Ideally currently or experience of operating in a regional role

Key Responsibilities


As the Environment Specialist, you will be assisting the Environment Manager and Environment team in compliance with the environmental management system, legislation compliance and data reporting. To complete trend analysis of environmental data and assisting in the overall environmental strategy across the networks and business functions.
The role will communicate environmental advice and guidance to the business on all environmental issues and associated risks. This will include the creation and updating of key environmental management standards whilst maintaining the management system to ISO 14001.

A core part of your role will be fostering a culture of environmental improvement. Job description Main responsibilities of the post. To process orders and obtain quotations to support Trust requirements, in a timely manner. To work in partnership with service areas to establish user requirements, investigate procurement needs by means of conducting analysis (cost benefit) and to then benchmark and recommend appropriate compliant procurement solutions, highlighting savings opportunities. To make appropriate use of Trust computer applications (e-Systems) to ensure all tasks/duties are carried out with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, including the use of procurement systems to enable the creation of orders, quotations, catalogues, tenders and contracts. To support in managing & maintaining Trust systems and processes appropriately and in partnership with other identified team members, and as allocated by the Procurement Manager. For example: Integra, e-portal tenders, new supplier approval processes and NHS supply chain. To support service areas in compiling Trust quotations and specifications. To support, assist and empower service areas to incorporate pre-procurement planning and demonstrate good procurement practice e.g. awareness of lead times and processes, and to then evidence savings and efficiencies post award. To ensure that all purchasing procedures are carried out within authorised budget allocations and that they comply with the Trusts Standing Financial Instructions and audit requirements and ensure that all procurement activity complies with UK and European Legislation. To ensure procurement practice, time lines and project plans are carried out in line with procurement law and to be accountable for procurement progress updates to the Procurement Manager. To support in tender evaluation processes and to participate in the decision-making process by offering purchasing advice and identifying potential savings and operational opportunities to service users. To prepare tender & outcome reports detailing product information and costs and summary information post award. To analyse and present outcome findings to the Trust in report format, by means of presentation when required. To process new supplier set-ups on the Finance System. Assist with the training of users on the Procurement aspect of the Finance system. Person Specification Essential requirements include: Qualifications Good education including minimum Grade C in English and Maths, or equivalent Knowledge and Skills Thorough knowledge of MS Office Understanding of Finance Systems (Integra) would be an advantage. Ability to process requisitions and orders on an eprocurement system. Problem-solve issues and provide solutions Personal Attributes Assist and advise users to help them use compliant procurement and contract arrangements. Excellent frontline communication and customer service skills. Experience Experience of using systems for automated data processing. Other Have access to independent travel.

Previous Applicants Need Not Apply The role is pivotal in line managing admin support across the site; therefore it is essential you have previous experience of line managing staff and you also need to be competent in delivering advice and support to staff. You will be expected to use your own initiative and able to work unsupervised, undertaking specific project work as necessary. You will be expected to plan and manage a range of complex duties, organise own work and that of others to meet deadlines and respond professionally to enquires both internally and externally to the organisation. You must be able to build effective working relationships, be approachable and accessible to support the Senior Admin Lead in terms of effective management/use of admin support, buildings and the provision of services from them. This is an excellent career development opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to pursue a management career in the NHS.
