Vacancy: Senior Vehicle Technician
Location: Norwich
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 basic, £42,000 OTE (Uncapped)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

This is an exciting challenge for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician who can confidently demonstrate their suitability for the role. You will possess excellent Man Management skills, be driven and focused. Your main objective as Senior Vehicle Technician will be to supervise the Technicians and Administration staff accordingly in a very busy workshop.

You will be tasked with supervising a team of Technicians to make sure the work is done to a high standard while at a reasonable rate. It will be your job as Senior Vehicle Technician to make sure the vehicles go through the workshop in a seamless manner whilst liaising with the Service Advisors who can then keep the customers fully up to date.

This is a vital role to make sure the Technicians keep on their toes, prioritising work and ensuring that all the work is completed to manufacturer standard. The role will be busy so we need someone who isn't scared of working closely with the team and building a strong process.

Senior Vehicle Technician requirements

• Previous experience in a senior role preferable but not essential
• You must have at least six years of full time experience as a Vehicle Technician
• You must have Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance
• Must hold a full UK driving licence

• Review outgoing correspondence to ensure compliance with command policies and procedures
• Check grammar, punctuation, spelling for correctness
• Conduct a technical review of correspondence prepared by the unit for signature by unit Commander or other management levels.

As a TRAINING SPECIALIST (INSTRUCTOR) at the GS-1712-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Implement, evaluate, and coordinate command's education and evaluation programs.
• Conduct all aspects of designated course development from course inception through course execution, to include conceiving, developing, modifying, and sustaining existing courses and blocks of instruction.
• Lead discussions with JPSE senior leadership and Flag & General Officers, Senior Field Grade Officers and Senior Civilians to tailor education, training, and exercises to meet the expressed operational requirements for each supported Command.
• Lead planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of quarterly exercises that are conducted with mission partners at the Combatant Command or Combatant Command Component level.
• Formulate, modify, and deliver training plans and oral presentations; prepares related reports, background papers, responses to queries, and justifications; and prepares/presents associated high-level briefings.
