What you'll do:

• deliver stock from the DC to stores in the region in a safe, professional and cost effective way
• drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct Co-op procedures
• positively represent the Co-op out on the road at all times
• treat other road users and pedestrians with respect
• provide an efficient and supportive delivery service, helping to offload stock into stores
• make every effort to deliver stock safely despite the weather conditions

This role would suit people who have:

• a C+E category (Class 1) LGV drivers licence
• previous experience as a driver (particularly long-distance commercial deliveries)
• good service skills with the ability to represent Co-op positively on the road
• the ability to work positively with Co-op customers and colleagues
• great organisation and time management skills

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here in the Yeovil Team. As our Housing and Property Coordinator, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

Typical day as a Housing Management Coordinator

• Supporting people over the age of 18 who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.


• Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.


• Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.


• Where there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.


• Getting our properties ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void properties within set timescales.


• Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You bring

• Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties


• Know-how of re-letting of properties, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.


• Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues


• The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.


• A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.


• Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

Role: Production Operative - Raw Meat Products

Location: Leighton Buzzard, LU7

Shift: 08.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. You may be asked to work the occasional Saturday 09.00 -4.00pm.

The role

As a Production Operative, you'll work in our client's factory, cutting and preparing halal lamb and beef to be vacuum packed for shops. You will need to learn different machines within the factory. This is a chilled factory because the nature of the products so the temperature is always 8 degrees so you must be able to work in a chilled environment.

You'll need to:

* Be prepared to work and handle raw meat
* Be capable of manual handling tasks (including regularly lifting raw materials
* Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail to follow procedures safely and efficiently
* Be able to work to deadlines
* Maintain hygiene standards - we are a food factory. Full training will be given to work to expected
standards

The role will also involve:

* Operating certain machines (such as bin lifts and mixers); prior experience is desirable, but training will be
provided
* Carrying out pre-start checks on your area of responsibility to verify our safe ways of working are being
adhered to
