What will I do in this position if hired?

In this Local Hire (Geospatial and Data Analytics Cell Analyst) position, you will serve the Interagency Recovery Coordination (IRC) Geospatial and Data Analytics Cell (GDAC) Analyst. Duties will be based upon functional position.

Typical assignments include:

• Implementing and advising the National Disaster Recovery Support (NDRS) and National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) on all recovery geospatial and data issues within the disaster recovery field operations.
• Providing maps and data products using ESRI products, Excel, PowerBI or Tableau, as well as Python, R, SQL.
• Coordinating GIS, data activities and data request for internal and external partners.

Typical assignments include:

• Contributing to the development and implementation of emergency management recovery policies, plans, and procedures.
• Writing or reviewing portions of broader recovery regulations and guidance documents.
• Coordinating responsibility for ensuring that regulations and policies developed in the recovery areas are consistent with the statutory requirements and existing policy, that their need is justified, and that they are adequately supported by appropriate analysis.
• Gathering Strategic Staffing Projection input from incident organization elements and staffing pattern data from Automated Deployment Database.
• Organizing raw information (e.g., databases, charts, graphs,) to establish a common operating picture; producing clear and accurate planning products using standardized formats as directed.

• Assisting with organizational development of a broad coordination structure at tribal, State, and local fields.
• Identifying and coordinating human, financial, and collateral resources to support the Interagency Recovery Coordination (IRC) Mission.
• Assisting with the preparation of elements of recovery situation analysis to guide strategic decision-making and planning.
• Collecting info/data to populate the IRC data tools such as the Recovery Support Strategy or Max Trax.
