Job Purpose:
The Data Center Solutions Engineer role recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure. May specialize in one vendor or support multiple technologies. Responds to inquiries and performs technical research (i.e. reference manuals and vendor websites and configuration tools). Assists in sizing designs with crafting marketing solutions and provides pre and post sales technical support. Participates in sales and technical solution proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team activities. Actively works to develop virtual demonstration abilities to be leveraged in training elements for partner enablements and role growth.
Responsibilities:
Assists with the identification of the most optimum solutions to meet or exceed the customer provided requirements and pain points within the overall approach and strategy of the developed solution proposal response. Prepare question(s) to better understand customer requirements contained within the supplied RFI / RFP and other customer.
Delivers custom and technical training presentation for resellers and their end customers with multiple technology
Collaborates with other peer in the creation and development of solutions in solution centers or demo platforms for the internal and partner Hosts and/or Participates in Executive Briefings, Technical Conferences, Trade Shows, Seminars, On-site and Virtual Trainings, and Marketing Events for our reseller and vendor partners as well as driving and supporting sales objectives to meet or exceed bookings and revenue targets.
Participates in vendor training supporting certifications in focus technical area, creates technical road mapping for partner skill enhancement.
Can understand, differentiate and articulate the vendors vision, strategy and architectural approach to a wide variety of Data Center solution spaces: HyperConverged, Software Defined Infrastructure, Big Data and Analytics, IoT, Edge Computing, AI/ML, Virtualization, Storage, HPC and related technologies.
Develops key relationships within vendor and reseller partners and is viewed as a trusted advisor by associates of all levels within the partner and company.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
>1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience
Advanced Technical Certifications with multiple vendors as well as industry
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Associate Degree with Systems Engineering or Related field of study required
Possesses excellent data entry skills.
Able to perform complex mathematical calculations.
Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
Understand, communicate, and collaborate effectively with people across various identities.
Able to negotiate skillfully and promote/sell ideas persuasively.
Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.
