We are currently recruiting for an experienced Rail Operations Director reporting into the MD for Rail Systems to work to support all of our rail teams in the day to day running of a very busy rail division working on a number of high volume contracts. You will have a proven track record in the bluecollar rail labour supply sector .
The opportunity
McGinley provides solutions to clients investing in, planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining assets in the infrastructure markets.
As an Operations Director you will oversee, coordinate and support all aspects of our rail operations teams. You will manage the rail teams and senior management team performance ensuring a positive achievement against set KPIs.
You will be forward thinking, bring improvement and focus on exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities:
A thorough practical understanding of rail and the commercial activities along with rail industry operations.
A sound understanding of how commercial and business planning fits within the wider railway industry including contracts for railway operations and business cases.
Experience of producing high quality bids and tenders for public and/or private sector clients.
A strong communicator with the ability to explain detailed technical issues to senior stakeholders and clients.
Excellent commercial acumen, including experience of successful business development.
A deep understanding and knowledge of the GB rail network.
An ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team and to share ideas and expertise with team members to support ongoing learning and improvement; and
An inclusive, collaborative approach and operates in an inspirational & respectful manner with colleagues, clients, and the wider community.
