Reporting to the Regional Director, the Account Director will join our specialist Make Ready business. Churchill’s Make Ready division provides specialist vehicle preparation and station cleaning services within the Ambulance service which includes infection prevention control, technology, auditing and training. The Account Director will direct and support a team of three Account Managers, to drive the performance of operations, and close analysis of the business and strategy.

As Account Director you’ll be:

• Attending quarterly meetings with all senior points of contact
• Reviewing monthly KPI/QA scores for all contracts, ensuring required scores are being consistently achieved. Progress any relevant action for any low-scoring contracts
• Undertaking site visits as required to assess standards and quality audit scores.
• Ensuring Help Point are meeting KPI’s with regards to HelpDesk to Help Point requirements. Hold monthly/quarterly review of performance with Help Point Manager.
• Maximising business opportunities within each client, identifying new service opportunities and/or operating practices and introducing or implementing this as appropriate subject to approval.
• Reviewing profit and loss every quarter, ensuring the contracts are running profitably, highlighting any losses and suggesting cost savings
• Adhere to all Health and Safety Legislation, as laid down by the Company.

As Account Director you’ll have:

• The ability to communicate with Director and MD-level clients.
• A proactive approach to identify possible drops in service at early stages, to eliminate major dips in service occurring.
• The ability to implement Solutions self-sufficiently.
• Proven experience in managing managers and the ability to coach and mentor managers, who are experiencing difficulties.
• Commercial analysis and resolution proposing capability.
• Financial experience for P&L, balance sheets and cashflow
• Exceptional ability to create relationships and communicate at all levels, whilst not letting this compromise the ability to make and take necessary tough action.

Desirable qualifications/experience:

• Previous senior management experience, desirably 5 years’ experience within prestigious FM or NHS service sectors.

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning for Transformation, Suzanne Smith, you will join a capable and motivated leadership team who are committed to working in partnership with transformation. You will lead a programme team supporting the delivery of impactful change, ensuring a rigorous and robust project-based approach.

This is a key leadership role with a big focus on stakeholder management to ensure that our transformation programme progresses positively. An ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders is critical, particularly with those beyond our direct organisational boundaries including education, health and care leaders, where you'll advise and influence them on the details and development of the programme. You will ensure there is accountability for plans across the programme and that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined with all key stakeholders. You will be adept at horizon scanning to pre-empt and mitigate risks associated with the programme, escalating these as required and feeding them into forward planning.

What You Will Do

• Present potential acquisition targets for Board and Senior Management approval; drive the team forward in assessing and acquiring targets from initial outreach to vendors, offer submission, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, deal signing to close. You will also be responsible for ensuring you develop others within the team and broaden knowledge of M&A activity within the business.
• Develop and implement business development and M&A strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for growth.
• Identify and evaluate potential targets for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• Maintain a pipeline of potential opportunities through networking, industry events, and market research.
• Lead due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions and partnerships, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
• Coordinate with internal and external experts to conduct comprehensive evaluations of target companies.
• Develop and negotiate term sheets, agreements, and contracts in collaboration with legal and financial teams.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and other events.
• Conduct financial modelling and valuation analyses for potential deals.
• Prepare detailed business cases and presentations for senior management and board review.

Essential Pharma is an international specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to maintaining access to clinically differentiated, niche medicines in small patient populations. Our high-impact portfolio includes over 300 medicines covering ten therapeutic areas, with a focus on the central nervous system (CNS), gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and rare diseases. Our products treat patients in more than 70 countries.
We are proactive in identifying low volume, difficult-to-manufacture therapeutic products, and late-stage clinical development assets that target rare diseases. Our recent acquisition of Renaissance Pharmaceuticals is a significant milestone for Essential Pharma, the groups second product for treatment of a rare disease, and the first development-stage asset in our portfolio.
Our UK Operations team is comprised of 60 people, based out of our Egham, Surrey office, five minutes’ drive from Egham Train Station situated on the Thorpe Industrial Estate. We also have colleagues based in Malta, France, Spain and Switzerland.

What You Will Bring

• Life sciences or pharmacy degree.
• Demonstrable experience across commercial assessment, business development, M&A, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry from a consulting or in-house team. Experience with commercial assets/established brands, marketed off patent products would be essential for this role, rare diseases would be a plus.
• Proven track record as a negotiator managing deal processes, project management of due diligence gathering alongside deep analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Knowledge of UK & EU markets, knowledge of US markets would be desirable.
• Proven experience in the development of people and mentoring on key aspects of the role including running managing commercial assessment, generating commercial forecasts and developing business cases for new acquisitions.
